Josie's Getaway - Pet Friendly -Mini-Vacations and Month to Monthly Available

Mini-Vacations and Monthly Rental Available. Amenities: New Queen Mattress, Recushioned sofa and new deck furniture for 2025 season Central A/C, Dishwasher, Microwave, New full-size W/D, 2 TVs, Smart TV and Roku, Wi-Fi, Charcoal Grill, Screened Porch, Outside Shower.Linens and towels provided. 2 dog maximum.

Perfect pet friendly beach getaway located right off Ridge Rd., close to restaurants and shopping. This quaint cottage offers all the amenities, with bright, open rooms, perfect for a comfortable vacation. This house has a large, screened porch, outside shower and fire pit on the patio. Been working hard over the cold months to make Josie's Getaway as perfect as ever. We listen to your comments and are always looking to improve our cottage. For 2025 we have New Queen Mattress, Recushioned sofa and new deck furniture. Linens and towels provided.

Pet friendly home $75. (per pet) will be added to your reservation. 2 dog maximum. only. 2 night minimum in off Season.

Cancellations made 30 days prior to arrival will receive 100% of refund of all monies minus $ 39 Processing Fee and Any Credit Card Convenience Fees Paid.  If less then 30 days: the advanced rent is only refundable subject to the following: The property is re-rented for the same period. Re-rental of less than a full week will be refunded on a pro-rated basis. The Agent will retain a $39.00 processing charge and any convenience fees charged. *Deposits are not refunded for ANY reason (including bad weather).

Josie’s was very clean and beautifully appointed with a very appropriate beach and pony theme! It worked out well for 3 adults and 2 dogs. There were several neighborhood cats that kept the dogs entertained along with an occasional deer and squirrel! Next time I would reserve directly through Harbor Rentals and save a little $$!

Not the best weather. Highlight was the Fall Pony Roundup. A fenced in back yard for dogs would have been better because of numerous cats in area. Had to walk dogs to end of block to potty.

It was clean and welcoming. The owners , Jaye and Jodi, make you feel like family. Josie’s Getaway definitely feels like home! From the well stocked kitchen to the little free library, Josie’s is so stress free. The porch with swing is so charming and our family loves the fire pit. Beach themed with pony books and pictures, this house is a gem! Truly one of the best places to stay on the island! Our family loves and recommends Josie’s Getaway- 100%!

And all the details they put into their guests experience from having indoor and outdoor games, beach chairs, the adored porch bed which is great for afternoon naps, and the welcome bag! We LOVE Chincoteague and have for many years, this house will be one we stay in again for sure! The only suggestion is to upgrade the queen mattress. Aside from that everything was wonderful and felt like home.

It’s definitely our favorite. It’s clean and it’s pet friendly. The homeowner really appreciates the guests. I appreciate that the house is well equipped with everything we need to be comfortable for the week. Linens and towels are provided, even beach towels. This homeowner really tries to think of all the needs from a renters point of view. On an island where there are so many places to stay, this one is such a great option. We call this home our home away from home. We treat it like it’s our home and we even know some of the full time neighbors now. It’s a 10 out of 10 for our family.

The kitchen was well stocked with all the basic necessities plus more to make for a comfortable stay. The bedrooms were welcoming with comfortable beds and plenty of closet and drawer space. The bathrooms, too, were very clean and comfortable. The weather allowed us to enjoy the screened in back porch and the backyard furniture as well as a morning cup of coffee on the front porch. The neighborhood was quiet and felt very safe. This rental was a wonderful find and we would definitely return if/when we visit Chincoteague again!
