"The staff was quick to help during check in and check out, but upon arrival, the rooms were very cold. Why? Because the windows and doors were left wide open for every room on each floor. It did not feel safe walking into my room when it was propped open by the luggage rack. How about if someone was in there? "

But the only easily walkable local attraction is the adjacent Giant Panda preserve, which was very nice, if not nearly as massive as the main panda attraction in Chengdu.
If you do not have your own transport, you would need to use ride hailing, which works well enough, however note that unlike in the cities, if you want to hail one of the big 6 passenger vans, it might be difficult. But hailing regular sedan type Didi cars is easy enough to get you into town for any site-seeing (such as the nearby Dujiangyan or Mt. Qingchen) or dining needs."
