My partner checked in with 2 children as our other 3 children and I were in Australia. The lady knew we were on a late flight and gave us a late check out for no additional charge, which made a huge difference to our first morning back. Room was warm and cozy and sufficient for what we needed. Will definitely be our first option for when we return to chch.
Well priced, comfortable and warm little units. Only a stone throw to the shops, restaurants and takeaways. Lots of tv channels to choose from with an independent sky decoder in each unit.
Clean pleasant room but dated, lady at front desk was helpful. We were close to road side so was super noisy. Get what you pay for but won't stay again
Stayed here with Family for one night. this is a very budget motel
Positives: friendly host. enough beds for family of 6. soft towels, Electric blankets on bed
Negatives: close to busy road and very noisy through the night.
Musty/dusty smell. very damp. heater emitting burnt dusty smell. Bathroom very damp.
Entrance and hall way pass off as a kitchen. dishes have oily streaks and unclean. We washed our dishes before using them.
very basic amenities. hair drier not woking. Carpet felt dirty and had stains.
Bed was saggy, pillows flat and uncomfortable.
triggered Eczema and dust allergies in the family.
we arrived late and were too tired to move any where else had to leave early in the morning.
There was note on the wall that we wash, dry and put our dishes away otherwise surcharge applies.
I will not stay here again.

noisy place to stay
Staff were very pleasant but when paying $25 for a continental breakfast for two, it would have been nice to have been given a choice of breakfast. The tray was bought to our room, which sounds great but we had to wash our plates and dishes in unit otherwise would incur charges.
Nice clean and tidy motel, and as a family with 3 kids, the 2 room unit was ideal with separate rooms for the adults and 3 single beds for the kids.
Great value for money.
Only issue is that with it being on a busy road, the rooms aren't very sound proof so that was a bit of a pain.

Pet friendly!
So pleased to have my dog with me, plenty of quieter roads to walk him. Was a little noisy from other upstairs guests!
Staff were very friendly and flexible with arranged checkin tomes outside of normal hours.
Room was very comfortable, house keeping done daily and to a great standard.
We book this motel to accommodate our family. On arrival the room was filthy. It smelt, and was every surface was filthy. I wanted a cup of coffee and even the cups were dirty.
Advertised as a family unit there was only a shower that was a step up (dangerous and difficult for little people) and on wall of the shower was the window! The shower curtain was growing mould.
The windows wouldn't close properly and the heating for the whole unit was via a small fan heater on the wall. The advertised SKY featured no movies.
My daughter (3) bumped into the front door which shattered - this was clearly not safety glass as we have since found out it should have been. My daughter was very lucky to only get a small cut. When the male owner came to deal with this he was very short and grumpy. Told us if he couldn't get it fixed we would have to have cardboard over it (major city, no way there would be nobody available) - his wife told us because it was after-hours it would cost us so we chose to deal straight with the glazier. It cost us $327 to repair - and it was replaced with safety glass. It was an accident yes, and our daughters fault yes, but if the safety measure had have been put in place with the correct glass this would have never happened.
Will never stay there again or recommend to anybody.

Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
Motel was more dated than appeared in pictures. Is on a busy road (which we knew) but noise level between units is also high
