Didn't actually stay at the Bush Inn Court, we got a message from this property just before check-in to say that the room we were booked in had a plumbing issue and was not available, so we were transferred to a 'sister' property nearby with no extra charges. This review is for the sister property which was the Westside Motor Lodge.

pleasant, convenient and friendly stay
The host was friendly and very helpful, making an effort to try to give me the sort of accommodation I had hoped for - changing the unit originally booked with no fuss. Everything was clean and tidy. I appreciated the 'Green' efforts made by Bush Inn Court.

Only an oil filled heater in room. New managers expressed amazement that no heat pump in room. Laundry facility pretty basic- 1 washer and I dryer. Shower pressure very poor. Unit was clean and tidy. New managers trying hard.

An unexpected issue at Bush Inn resulted in a change to Westside Motel Riccarton. We were called early and the communication was friendly and helpful, all sorted for us so no need to do anything except remember where we have to go. A mistake meant that we were changed to a small room, was sorted with an upgrade to a bigger room and a fantastic nights sleep :) Recommend due to the care they took of everyone to ensure they had a place to stay.

Carol on reception was brilliant. The property is getting a bit in need it some painted and tiling in the bathroom. Very noisy beingvright on Riccarton.

Didn't like the fact that there was an attitude that check in was strictly 2pm and all sorts of excuses that at 1.30 pm there were no rooms cleaned/available. This, in spite of being advised at 10.30 am, to come back at 1.30 pm. Office was closed at 1.30 pm and had to contact staff by phone. Area around the toilet bowl hadn't been cleaned, there was blood or red wine on the top bed cover and the shower taps were either set to limit water flow or just faulty. One of the bedside lights was faulty.

Thank you for staying at Bush Inn Court. We are very sorry you had this experience while checking in. Usually check in time is from 2pm. If we know there is to be an early check in, we try to make sure that room is cleaned first. Unfortunately it was a very busy day and yours or a similar room was not ready at 10.30am. As a result when you returned you did receive a free upgrade. The other areas mentioned will be looked into. The cleaners take real pride in their work and scrub around the toilet bowl area at every clean but unfortunately the tiles do not reflect this. Again our apologies for any inconvenience Best wishes Management

Tidy room with great value Continental breakfast. Excellent free Wifi. Surprised that TV offered no Sports channels. We weren't looking for a great variety but a couple of sports channels would have been a good option.
