relaxing getaway from Arkansas during Christmas 2025. I was disappointed there was no sand or a place to get into the ocean directly from the condo. However, I could see & hear the ocean from the living room & bedroom.
There is no a/c f you are hot natured. BUT, if you are going to be away during the day or hanging out at pool it won’t matter much. During the night the breeze ocean breeze was so nice! I slept every night with both patio doors open & it was so lovely! The sounds of the waves crashing lulled me to sleep! I never felt unsafe on the island. Not during the night with the doors open & not while walking around the boardwalk as a solo female. Peace. That is what I felt!
I did have a little trouble with what I guess were sand ants? Do not leave anything opened on the counter. They will gather around & party hard. However, there was raid under the sink so that was the end of unauthorized parties.
One thing I would make aware to anyone considering this place is that the bed is super duper high! Like, I’m a short chubby girl y’all. There was a little plastic step still but like I said, chubby. I didn’t dare try it. Instead I had to gather my energy & hop as I threw myself on the bed. Once, I almost didn’t make it.
The owner left a note to drink the few bottles of water in the fridge and seriously, they probably SAVED MY LIFE y’all.
Great communication with the owner when I needed! I wasn’t brave enough to drive on the left so I used the app VI-Hail. Good experience!
