Big riverfront house near beach access, CVG, & downtown

Escape to our newly-remodeled prohibition-era speakeasy, now a modern and clean vacation rental! This spacious property comfortably sleeps 18 and is located on 2 acres of riverfront land, situated next to a state bird sanctuary that features a sandy beach. Enjoy stunning sunsets by the fire pit and hours of entertainment in the rustic barn with a half-pipe, ping pong table, and stage. The River House is conveniently located just 28 minutes from Perfect North Slopes, 12 minutes from downtown, 27 minutes from the Creation Museum, 38 minutes from the Ark Encounter, and 10 minutes from CVG airport.

Inside the home, guests can relax and unwind in the beautifully decorated living areas. Take in the panoramic river views from the wrap-around porch, or enjoy a movie night in the cozy living room. The property also features four immaculate bedrooms, including a bunk room that sleeps ten, three brand-new bathrooms, and a modern kitchen.

The River House boasts a rustic barn with a half-pipe, ping pong table, and stage for entertainment. Please note that a waiver must be signed if the barn is used. If you would rather not have your kids enticed by the barn, you can leave it locked for your whole stay.

There is a state-protected bird sanctuary adjacent to the property. Stroll through the sanctuary's shady path to visit a riverfront beach owned by the state of Kentucky. Please note that the Ohio River is an active commercial waterway. Every day the river deposits some "gifts" (aka- debris and often trash) and removes others. As this is state-owned land, we do not patrol or clean the beach or woods; we are not responsible for its maintenance or for any activity on that property.

Guests will have access to the entire house, the parking area, the yard, the fire pit, and the barn.

Great stay for large group

Easy check in (and we were even able to get in a little earlier than the listed check in time!)I always bring cookware specific to what meals are planned but the kitchen was pretty well stock in that regard already. Was a great place for our big group with plenty of usable in and outdoor space.

It was the worst house I’ve been in with VRBO. The house was filthy and I spent first 5 hours cleaning it washing dirty sheets and wondering where the river front was.

Clean & great location.

Bachelorette party of 8 women from ages 21-54, stayed 3 days/2 nights. Property as pictured in the listing. The location was great, property is beautiful, quiet area & the house was very clean. Everything you need is provided. All linens, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, kitchen soap, K-cups, Keurig, dishes, bags of ice in the freezer, & toilet paper. I honestly can't think of anything that would have made it better. Grocery store, food, & dollar store close by. No issues getting an Uber to take us to the city. Great stay for large family

Our only complaint was that the shed/barn was quite dilapidated and not lit very well for when we played ping pong. Otherwise it was fantastic!! We had a great time!

Travel to the Ark

Overall everything was okay. The porch could have been a little cleaner. And the furniture around the fire pit was very sketchy at best. Inside was very clean. A few stackable chairs would have been nice. Also would have been nice to have a place to put our luggage in the bottom bedroom.

Family Trip

We really enjoyed our 4 night stay at this property. The house was exceptionally clean and had everything we needed. We had 6 adults and 5 children with us. The house was very accommodating. I only have 2 suggestions that would have made my rating a 5 instead of a 4. (Wish that there had been a 4.5 rating) I would suggest that the private beach was a little misleading. We did finally find the path down to it, but calling that a private beach was a little misleading. I would also recommend a way of washing your shoes off outside after you come back from “the beach “ Overall, we had a great time and would gladly reserve this property for our next visit to Cincinnati!

Guys annual football trip

I can’t speak enough about the location of this house. It’s close to the city yet you feel secluded. The nearby little town of Ludlow is very quaint with restaurants and shops. The owner was super easy to work with and the house was clean, up to date and had everything we needed for our group of 8. If you are looking for a place to stay away from it all but close to everything, this would be the place!

Just as advertised

An amazing and very clean home on the Ohio River. The property comes as advertised on the listing. To get to the property requires some twists and turns (so be mindful if you have passengers who may feel a little nauseous due to motion sickness) but overall, the property is an A+. Amenities like shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and towels were included which was a major plus in hospitality. Book if you like watching sunsets on the river off the balcony or by the firepit.

Perfect Stay!

Everything was as sold and looked as good as the pictures and description! Donna was communicative and willing to accomodate us early as well! She also offered good suggestions on places to eat and things to do. Had a weekend plan with friends in Cincinnati and this was the perfect place within a 15 minute drive for it. Would absolutely reccommend for anyone travelling to the area.

Lovely riverside home

We had a great weekend here! The pictures don’t do it justice. Watching all the boats go by down the river was a real treat. Lots of outdoor space for activities. The house itself is a gem: clean, spacious and accommodating. The kitchen had everything we needed. Lots of room to socialize, both inside and on the huge wraparound porch. We loved being so close to Cincinnati, and don’t skip a visit to Ludlow! Overall, top notch property. Would love to stay here again!

A great spot!

We had 8 adults and 7 children who enjoyed 5 days in this fabulous spot. The kitchen is well stocked, the sleeping arrangements are excellent, and the location was perfect! The bathrooms were perfect - far beyond our expectations, with plenty of towels and huge showers. The bunk bed room was perfect for our group of kids from 4 yrs of age to 15. That room has its own bathroom with a large shower. We really have no suggestions for improvements. Plenty of lawn for the kids to enjoy, and the firepit was enjoyed, too! Our favorite "extra" was the heavy traffic on the river - lots of huge barges to watch, which everyone enjoyed.

Great Youth Group Retreat

The place was perfect for our Youth Group of 11. We really appreciated the extra table and chairs so that our whole group could eat together and the outdoor seating around the fire pit. We really enjoyed all the different areas to spread out outside. It was perfectly located to visit the Creation Museum, Ark Encounter, and Kings Island. Another plus was there was plenty of shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. Donna was also great and very responsive

Womble Family Christmas Vacation

The cabin was pretty, but there was dog hair EVERYWHERE; on the sheets, floors, chairs, everything. It's listed as a cabin on river with a beach. Its on a working river boat port; definitely not a river to get in. Owner called me 2 minutes before check in to tell me to park near the road as snow plow couldn't plow the area. 16 of us had to load luggage up and down an ice/snow hilly area. The king bed is mattress only; no box springs. I feel like the cleaning fee I paid should be returned because it wasnt clean when we got there!!!

Valentines get away

This river house was so easy to get to very close to the airport. Great location for visiting the Ark Encounter and the Creation museum. We enjoyed staying at the house and watching movies. Donna was a wonderful host and very responsive. Definitely would stay again.
