Thanks so much for your nice compliments about House of Liebe! So glad you thought it was beautiful as we take great pride in caring for this historic home that we’ve owned for nearly 30 years. Unfortunately, the place was left in poor condition after a one night stay, group of 5 guests. The check-out process / rules were not followed at all (i.e., overflowing trash, food and trash on the floor, cigarette ashes in the home, everything moved, bottle of cleaner spilled on the floor, piece of kitchen cabinet broke off and more) The remotes were completely missing - it’s not that they weren’t put back in the right place. We could not find them! We truly want people to enjoy our place and feel at home, and we certainly don’t expect items to be placed perfectly; however, the contents of house were left in such a disarray that caused us to spend a highly unusual amount of time searching for things and putting the house back together before the next check-in. You said that you left early at 6am before everyone else because you were overwhelmed with your “family carrying on and arguing”. Yes, there are outdoor security cameras as noted in our listing, but our guests are not “watched 24/7”. However we were notified about activity in and out of the house all through the night until sunrise, non-stop so when there is a possible disruption to our neighbors and other guests (fighting, yelling, and doors slamming), we are thankful for security alerts. The cameras are in place to protect everyone… and 99% of the time we don’t have to view them, unless of course we receive so many notifications/ complaints. The supplemental A/C unit on the 2nd floor was tampered with / moved so we inquired about the water on the floor / ceiling damage, not accused. We were just asking for more info about what happened and why the drainage plug was removed. I also feel bad that your night didn’t go as planned and that you were disappointed in the family arguing- I can tell it bothers you as this review comes in to us 2 months after your stay. Thank you so much for the amazing, glowing review! It sounds like everything was perfect for you except for the bedroom door. My family and I stayed there a couple months ago… And my husband and I took the first floor big red bedroom. We had no trouble closing that door so I am surprised. Something for us to look into for sure. We definitely rely on guests to report these sorts of things. So thank you very much. Yes, the house was built in 1860!!!! So now and then there is a little trade off. LOL Happy your complaint was minor as you said and that you had a simple and smooth stay.

So glad that you and the family had a great stay. If the kids are happy, then I'm happy! Yes, there is a potential for noise in the city. Just in case, we have earplugs in the bedrooms for light sleepers… But the funny thing is no one ever uses them. Lol. As one might expect, the weekends could be a little more thriving than the weekdays. Every so often you get a "car thumper" but thank goodness they are passing through. And yeah, must be able to climb stairs. Thanks so much for the wonderful feedback!!!

I’m so happy that you loved our unique & beautiful house, with all the extras!! I appreciate your review and feedback but bummed you took off a star because you were hot at 70-74 degrees. (It got down to 55 last night!). Yes, we have a fan in every room, an extra AC unit and even tons of blankets (which are used all summer long) to accommodate every type of sleeper. We have ear plugs next to the bed but no one uses them. Too bad you didn’t take advantage of the queen sized air mattress for the kids (you just push a button to blow it up). We are in the heart of the Covington with a view of downtown Cincinnati… so one definitely has to love all that a thriving city has to offer. If you stay on a Friday or Saturday you may hear the city a bit more. Others report they can’t believe how quiet it is considering the location.
