"Location"

Grand Hotel La Playa

"Great location, amazing ocean views, nice rooms, housekeeping service good. Complimentary breakfast is pretty awful. No restaurant or store on the property. No place to get ice, beverages or water for drinking. Breakfast staff not very friendly. Within walking distance to town and beach which is wonderful. The beach has great loungers and umbrellas, which we used everyday at no additional charge."

"The hotel was marvellous Breakfast was great and should meet everyone’s needs The only criticism was the state of the outdoor parking. The metalwork was all rusted and the sun screen roofing material was 90% gone I should add they do have indoor parking at an extra 5 euro. 20 instead of 15 However the outdoor parking had prime place in front of the hotel and it completely detracts from the hotel"

"Everything was good , quick tip walking shoes a must lots of uphills . If you need a cab to go early in the morning to the airport or the train station, very important to arrange the taxi service the night before with the front desk."

"Breakfast was the same everyday. The first night we arrived we asked front desk for recommendations on a restaurant for dinner and they told us they have dinner menu at the hotel. We had dinner and we were very disappointed with our food. They had a set menu. They had a buffet station with salads and fruit. You were able to choose one of 2 pastas and one of 2 entrees. Me and my husband had a combination of the food so we can try the different foods. Both pastas were barely room temperature Fish was dry and cold seemed like it sat out for a while before serving. Meat was room temperature and tough. Did not enjoy this at all! Beach umbrellas and 2 chairs were 30 euros where the beach right next door was 15 euros and another one was 20 euros. We stayed at beaches next door! They were great and had a restaurant as well that was very good. Why spend extra money?? Overall experience was ok"

"Great location to explore Gaeta and Sperlonga! The beach and water was amazing and so relaxful. JThe renovated rooms were nice and very comfortable. Only one option for dinner if you want to stay at the resort was the only drawback."
