"We haven’t been in an HI hostel in a long time (in our 70s) but were very happy with our overnight stay in HI Aveiro. Staff were lovely, the room and en-suite were very clean and comfortable and the continental breakfast was excellent. We walked to it from the bus station via the beautiful park. Not many eateries in the immediate neighbourhood (apart from a McDonalds almost opposite) but only 15 minutes on foot to the many restaurants/cafes in the town centre. "

"Beware, no ac, uncontrolled sewage smell out of the bathroom. Remote without batteries and no one to help. The worse, made the Aveiro experience very badly for the whole family. "
