"We really enjoyed our experience here in the "Hobbit House" While small it was generally well appointed, except for the self-catering being restrictive. The service was super friendly, the breakfast was good the hosts generous with their offerings and range of food. Good access to Alberobello and Matera for day visits."

"Ce lieu est très bien entretenu. Chambres nickel, piscine de rêve, excellent petit déjeuner...
Mais il n'est pas possible de dormir en raison d'un concert d'aboiements de tous les chiens du quartier"

"This historic 'cave' room is very comfortable and fun. It's within the driving limited part of the town, but is just steps away from plenty of parking. The bed is very comfortable, the heating works great, hot water takes awhile but comes on. The Relais di Marchese is billed as a B&B but when I asked about breakfast they said there wasn't any. I was invited to have a coffee and croissant at the cafe down the street. highly recommended "

"Great on pictures but didn’t live up to it in reality. Bathroom, sink and shower were smelly. The toilet seat was broken.
We also had a bad experience due to a lost item and the hotel was not helpful. When we drove back to find the item
The kitchen staff were lovely though. "

Charming trullo in Cisternino in Valle d’Itria, AC, free WIFI & parking
10/10 Excellent
"The apartment was spacious, modern, and with Puglian charm. The balcony and rooftop terrace were nice bonuses. The location is ideal with entrance off a quiet side street yet a two minute walk from the main piazza. Walden was very accommodating and easy to communicate with. The kitchen was very well equipped and the beds were comfortable. Would stsy here again in a heartbeat. "

Authentic Apulian Villa – Jacuzzi, Orchard & Walk to Cisternino!
10/10 Excellent
"The photos of Angelita's home and the general information about the very charming and welcoming town of Cisternino do not do justice to this vacation rental! My husband and I and our two friends loved it! Overall, there is a serenity and a sense of place at Casa Cecca that is timeless. The high ceilings and cool tiled floors make it a perfect summertime outdoor/indoor space. The eat in kitchen is compact, yet workable, although a microwave would be a welcome addition to the stove top and toaster oven. There is only one washroom, but it is beautifully remodelled and has a luxurious rainhead shower. During the day and on fine evenings the long wooden table under a pergola in the backyard is perfect for apero and alfresco meals. There are plenty of chairs and loungers! The jacuzzi was not much in use as our mid to late September days were cooler and we were routinely touring all the notable "white cities" as well as nearby beach and historic towns. We travelled to Ostuni, Alborobella, Locotorondo, Bari, Porto Caesarea, Polignano a Mare, Monopoli, Lecce, and Matera. Phenomenal day trips, great food, and history lessons, galore! Staying in the area of those special structures, the Trulli, was a daily delight!Angelita was a very caring and responsive host, and always addressed any concerns or requests that we expressed. Overall, we had great Apulian wine and food experiences, met lovely locals, and enjoyed being a short uphill walk from our comfortable home to Cisternino."
"On arrival no one advised regarding an issue with the swimming pool. We were shocked to go to it and find the pool bright green in colour. We enquired at reception and were advised the pool was being tested routinely and it was safe for guests to use. Staff advised it had been like that for 6 days and was due to grass cuttings blowing into the pool. We did not use the pool as we had safety concerns. The next day I asked to speak to the hotel Director regarding my concerns but he was not on site and reception staff did not know when he would visit next. I asked if the hotel had informed the ASL (local health authority) of the bright green pool issue and the fact that it was open for use but I did not receive an answer. I suggested the pool needed to be closed for guest safety, a notice informing guests of the issue and further testing for bacteria. Within an hour my suggestions were implemented and they starting to drain the pool. I never did get to use the pool during my 4 day stay and I never did get to speak to the Hotel Director about the issue. The hotel itself is in a beautiful setting and the guest facing staff extremely pleasant. Actions by Hotel Management in responding to the bright green pool issue was not to my personal standard as in my view guest safety is their highest priority. The trip was spoiled not so much by the lack of use of the swimming pool (mistakes do happen) but the response to the issue and lack of availability to Hotel Management."
"Very characterful property set in quiet countryside. The approach to the property was quite difficult along an unlit, quite uneven narrow track. We arrived in darkness and almost crashed our hire car into the stone walls bounding the track. We did venture. Out each day but even in daylight we had drive extremely cautiously to navigate our way to the main roads. The outside space ,particularly the seating areas and barbecue area were very good so we cooked and ate in each evening. The pool was small but served it’s purpose to cool off during sunbathing."
"Staying at Trullo Giardino was an exceptionally generous experience and utterly magical. From the charming trullo itself, to the fantastic pool area, to the beautifully planted and tended grounds, it was more than we’d hoped for. That everything was so well-arranged is down to the owners, Mima and Michele, who are very special people — amazingly generous, genuine and welcoming, and clearly experienced at knowing exactly how to make visitors feel completely at home. There is a real sense of space and privacy here, without feeling isolated, and everything about the place was done with care and quality, by people who clearly want guests to have a special experience. We loved it. We’re a couple in our sixties, and both feel it was the best place we’ve stayed in all our years of travelling. The place itself worked magic, and Mima and Michele truly touched us with their rare kindness, spirit and warmth. We normally do lots of sight-seeing on holiday, and there are many gentle pursuits in the immediate area to keep one busy; but we found the attractions of the Trullo Giardino seductive enough to warrant more time than usual simply relaxing. The easy and warm interactions we had with our hosts made it feel like the best combination of quiet and connection. It was, as Frodo said of Rivendell, like being on holiday and at home at the same time. We hope to return, and to enjoy the heavenly atmosphere created through warmth and care in this beautiful spot."
