"I didn’t expect a $10. Fee just to park in the parking lot. The least they could have done was tell me that I would get an additional charge on a separate invoice after checking out. It was very disappointing & very unprofessional. Why be sneaky about it, just put it up front & notify the guest. Very unprofessional!!"

Plantation Resort on Crystal River

"The Plantation Hotel is a very unique property with a lot of charm. The pool was excellent and one of the highlights of my stay. Although many of the other amenities were closed due to ongoing renovations, it's easy to see that the property has great potential and will be beautiful once the work is completed. The biggest disappointment was the lack of drinking water. There was no complimentary water in the room, and the front desk didn't even have bottled water available for purchase. While I was at the pool, I walked to the front desk hoping to buy a bottle of water, but instead I was told to use a vending machine that was about 400 feet away. Having to make that walk in a swimsuit was inconvenient and unnecessary. Offering bottled water at the front desk would greatly improve the guest experience, especially during the renovations."

"Beautiful,peaceful country setting. Cabin had all conveniences,was very clean,cute and comfortable. Hosts went above and beyond when we had questions or concerns. We felt almost like the place was our own as the hosts made themselves scarce but open to communication. Very pleasant, restful atmosphere but just minutes from town."
