A week in Provence

A superb location and wonderfully quiet. A truly authentic property with many original features and with much thought given to the design of the property to make the most of its position. As a family of four adults and one infant, our time (when not in the pool), was spent at the exterior table eating, drinking and talking - this is France! Thank you Ivan for allowing us to stay in your beautiful home which was truly remarkable.

What a Shame!

What should have been a perfect week, turned into a disaster with a contaminated pool, which the owner had known about but didn't warn us and a dirty house. Both issues were flagged up to both the owner and VRBO at the time, but 2 months later, we are still waiting for even a gesture of compensation. The property promised so much and could have been wonderful, but with the owner abroad, things had obviously slipped, including the gardens which were overgrown and scruffy. The area is wonderful and we will return but not to this place.

Outstanding pool

Wir haben uns zu zweit mit Hund sehr wohl gefühlt. Der Pool ist das absolute Highlight.Es liegt doch etwas abseits, aber in den kleinen Dörfchen drumherum gibt es alles was man braucht, inclusive gute Restaurants. Ivan hat sich hier ein cosy hide away geschaffen.

Magnifique

Jolie maison parfaite pour deux couples. On s’y sent tout de suite bien. C’est une maison avec une âme et il y a tout ce qu’il faut pour bien cuisiner. La literie est très bonne. Le jardin est splendide et la piscine très bien située et on adore le « salon de jardin ». Pour couronner le tout le propriétaire est super sympa et très disponible !

Schönes Haus in ruhiger toller Umgebung

Schönes, traditionelles Landhaus. Großer Salzwasserpool war perfekt bei strahlendem Sonnenschein. Großer Esstisch im Freien, im Schatten.

Great pool

This is a nice rustic house with a lot of personality. We did not have problems with mosquitos and most of the time there was a bit of wind (we where there during the heatwave). The pool is large and with sun from sunrise to sunset. There are a lot of small villages to visit with great restaurants, but be prepared to drive on small mountain roads.

Tolles Haus in ruhiger Lage

Wir hatten eine sehr schöne Woche in diesem Haus. Nach einem persönlichen Empfang konnten wir in vollen Zügen das Haus, der Pool, der Garten und die Terrasse genießen. Der Pool war super mit ausreichend Liegen und Sitzplätze drum herum und die Hängematten waren auch herrlich. Die Terrasse mit Grill war fast immer im Schatten was in den Sommer ideal ist. Die ruhige Lage mit Bäumen und Gemüsegarten gefiel uns sehr gut. Auch im Haus war alles ausreichend vorhanden was man braucht.

Pleine nature

Très agréable séjour dans cette charmante maison et son jardin champetre. La piscine avec son eau légèrement salée est délicieuse et parfaite pour aligner les longueurs. Ceux qui ont des problèmes de genou devront privilégier la chambre du rez de chaussée car l'escalier de l'autre chambre est raide. Seule ombre au tableau les moustiques qui s'invitent de 17h30 à 19h30. N'hésitez pas à vous munir de répulsif puissant (Insect Ecran) et suivre les conseils d'Ivan. Je recommande cet endroit pour une immersion en pleine campagne où rien ne vient heurter la vue, pas de plastique pas de beton, seuls les arbres à perte de vue (magnifique) La décoration est exquise. Les allées du jardin délicieusment champetres. On a très peu découvert les environs (mais nous vivons dans le sud) à part les vertigineuses gorges du Verdon et Tourtour. Nous étions trop bien dans cette "bergerie" pour un déconfinement en pleine nature. Nathalie et Cie

Schön in der Natur

Sehr schönes Haus, liebevoll eingerichtet, wunderbares „Atrium“ , in dem wir uns sehr gerne aufgehalten haben. Der Pool ist groß und wunderbar - man hat hier seine Ruhe und ist nur für sich! Zwar muss man ein wenig „kurven“, aber es gibt tolle Bergstädtchen in der Umgebung, natürlich die atemberaubende Verdonschlucht, und zum Meer haben wir es auch geschafft! Die Kommunikation war super, vielen Dank!!

Bon séjour

Nous avons passé un agréable moment dans la maison d'Ivan, en pleine nature. La piscine est top et l’accès au petit village se fait à pied ce qui est très sympa. La région est jolie mais il faut prévoir des déplacements un peu longs (de notre point de vue) pour les activités et visites de sites. Un grand merci à Ivan et Julie pour leur disponibilité.

Fabulous house with huge private pool

We had a lovely relaxing holiday here. Spent most of our time by the huge pool which had plenty of space for the whole family. Close to village for morning baguettes. Excellent boulangerie in Callas 5k away. Lovely property, would love to come back some time.

Une pause loin de tout !

Beautiful country house

This is a wonderful little holiday house with a spacious and clean swimming pool. We had a very nice stay in this typical french stone house and the pictures delivers the truth to what you really get. We stayed two adults and two smaller children. The house has a very lovely terrace where you can stay in the shade almost all day. It is a quiet neighborhood, a little remote, but close to the two beautiful mountain villages Bargemon and Claviers- with good restaurants. You can reach Lake st Croix in 50 minutes by car. It is the most beautiful drive through the mountains. If you are interested in French wines and olive oils, there are very good shops in this area. We had a very nice and relaxing holiday- and the children loved the pool. We communicated very well with the owner before arrival. We also wish to thank you the house lady, Jewels, who was very helpful during our stay. Thank you very much. Stine and Anders, Denmark.

Traumhafte Ferien

, Wir verbrachten einen wunderbaren Urlaub in Claviers. Das Häuschen ist wirklich wundervoll und liebevoll hergerichtet und der Pool war einfach fantastisch. Die Stille war einfach unglaublich und wenn man - wie wir - aus der Stadt kommt, kennt man dies so nicht. Wir waren restlos begeistert. Und dann ist da ja noch Ihre Hausdame Julie "Jewels", ein wahres "Juwel". Vielen Dank für alles.

romantische ferien

Een droomhuisje, een paradijs

2 jaar geleden zochten we een vakantiehuisje voor ons gezin in de streek van de « Var ». Onze 1e vereiste was, volledige kalmte en alleen op een domein én met natuurlijk een zwembad erbij. De eigenaar van de woning had ons verzekerd dat zijn huisje « het huisje » was dat we zochten. Wanneer we arriveerden, zagen we voor ons “het droomhuisje”, waar we al jaren naar op zoek waren. Met onze 2 kinderen erbij, hebben we daar een onvergetelijke vakantie doorgebracht, ééntje om nooit te vergeten. Alles wat we verlangden, was aanwezig. Mooie kamers die héél romantisch zijn ingericht, héél mooi. De keuken héél groot, badkamer mooi en volledig in orde. Van het open terras, veranda “de grange” hebben we veel kunnen genieten, telkens tot laat in de avond. Het zwembad was top ! Kortom, dit is het huisje dat wij zeker bovenaan op ons lijstje van vakantiehuizen gezet hebben. Het was zo’n onvergetelijke vakantie toen, dat we dit jaar opnieuw zijn geweest. Een echte aanrader ! Traumhafte Ruhe in der Natur

Wir haben hier einen sehr schönen und entspannten Urlaub verbracht. Das Haus liegt wunderbar ruhig in der Natur und ist ein idealer Ort nicht nur zum entspannen, sondern auch als Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen, Mountainbike-touren oder Abstecher zum Meer. Im Haus ist alles top ausgestattet und man kann traumhaft auf der Terasse sitzen. Für den Pool war es Anfang März leider noch zu kalt, ab im Frühling/Sommer perfekt.

ein Traum!

Schon der sich durch wunderbare grüne Wälder schlängelnde Weg nach Claviers verheißt, was wahr wird, wenn man an diesem traumhaft schönen Platz ankommt. Ein hell erleuchtetes Haus hat mich am Abend warm willkommen geheißen und bei Tag ist dieser Ort einfach paradiesisch. Man spürt die Liebe, mit der dieses schöne, gepflegte Haus hergerichtet ist, geschmackvoll und komfortabel eingerichtet, mit allem, was man braucht um sich wohl zu fühlen. Gemütliche Plätze drinnen und draußen für alle Gelegenheiten, die zum ungestörten Verweilen einladen, ein großzügig und schön angelegter Garten mit alten Olivenbäumen, ein sehr sauberer großer Pool in dem man gerne schwimmt (tolle Wasserqualität, ohne die übliche Chemiekeule), beschattete Liegen. Für kühlere Abende im Frühjahr oder Herbst gibt es einen Kaminofen, der nicht nur das Herz wärmt. Mein persönlicher Lieblingsplatz: vor dem Haus unter der Glycinie am frühen Abend bei einem kühlen Glas Rosé, die Ruhe genießen, den Blick in diese herrliche weite Natur gerichtet, pure Entspannung...was kann man sich mehr wünschen?! außer....das ich bald hierher zurückkommen kann!

ein kleiner traum, mitten im grünen

ankommen, auspacken und für immer bleiben. dieses domicil ist ein gekonnt renoviertes ferienhaus, dem man in jedem detail die persönliche note des besitzers anmerkt. es ist geräumig , großzügig, urig und doch modern ausgestattet. der pool läd schon vor dem frühstück zum baden ein und abends, bei einem glas wein, läßt man den tag draußen, am gemütlichen holztisch, revue passieren. ich komme wieder . hanne epkes
