About this property

Dog-friendly steps to Warwoman Dell in the Chattahoochee National Forest

  • Escape to your own private mountain sanctuary with this incredible cabin offering long-range views, total end-of-road privacy, and direct access to U.S. Forestry Service land. Tucked away in a coveted location just 10 minutes from downtown Clayton, this beautifully maintained retreat combines rustic charm with modern comforts. Wake up to awe-inspiring views of Pickens Nose in the Standing Indian Basin and the surrounding Appalachian Mountains, visible from nearly every room and the expansive wrap around deck. Whether you're sipping coffee at sunrise or entertaining guests under the stars, this home offers the perfect setting for year-round enjoyment.

    Important Access Information:
Pickens View Perch is located high in the mountains and is accessed by a paved asphalt road. As you approach the cabin, the road becomes steep and winding, with narrow sections and one-lane stretches. Pull-off areas are available where needed, and the road is regularly traveled by cars, SUVs, and trucks.

For first-time guests, we strongly recommend arriving during daylight hours. Daytime arrival makes it much easier to navigate the mountain roads and enjoy the scenic drive to the cabin. While the drive requires a bit of mountain-road confidence, the breathtaking views and peaceful setting at the top are well worth the journey.

Inside, the warm and inviting family room showcases soaring ceilings, rich wood walls, ceiling fans and a cozy wood-burning fireplace-perfect for chilly mountain evenings. The focal point is the beautiful stone faced fireplace and flat screen television. Enjoy the afternoon in the reading nook with a cup of tea and your favorite book.

The recently updated kitchen features sleek new appliances and blends beautifully with the home's timeless wood finishes and hardwood flooring. The cupboards are filled with all the dinnerware and cookware the chef of the party will need to perform culinary magic.

The master queen bedroom includes an updated bath with a walk-in shower, offering comfort and convenience. Whether you're searching for a weekend getaway, or a week long retreat, this cabin delivers on all fronts.

The lower level is complete with a game room, a queen bedroom, full bath and a bonus area with a trundle bed. The game room offers entertainment and a little friendly competition with an arcade game, a foosball table and television.

The wrap around deck and screened porch provide a peaceful place to enjoy the incredible views and wildlife. For hikers, the property borders national forest for forging your own trails right outside the door.
