"le loueur est un homme charmant qui a des choses très intéressantes à raconter sur son amours des chevaux. Le gite est d'une propreté impeccable et dans un endroit isolé mais à un quart d'heure des courses et une demi-heure de la sous préfecture où il y a tout ce qu'on veut y compris cinéma, théâtre, manifestations festives et culturelles etc.. le hic ce sera la canicule qui ne relève pas de la responsabilité du propriétaire! Une grande partie de la maison est restée très datée (années 60-70) : interrupteurs, poignées, carrelages, portes-fenêtres, volets très abîmés et menuiseries...

"Nous sommes très déçus de notre séjour. À notre arrivée, vers 1 h du matin, les climatiseurs étaient allumés mais ne produisaient aucun air frais. Malgré les manipulations effectuées il nous a été impossible de les faire fonctionner.La chaleur dans le logement était insupportable. Nous n'avons pas dormi et avons été contraints de quitter les lieux à 4 h 30 du matin pour rentrer chez nous.Le logement présente pourtant des qualités, mais en période de fortes chaleurs, une climatisation...

Le propriétaire le sait mais ne le précise pas dans son annonce. Lave-vaisselle trop petit pour 14 personnes et fonctionne mal. Il manque beaucoup de vaisselle. Chaises pliantes inconfortables Terrasse, mal éclairée Balles de baby-foot et ping-pong...

"The studio apartment was perfect for our needs. We particularly appreciated the air-conditioning as it was extremely hot. The staff were lovely, and the secure storage for our bicycles was great."

"We had a wonderful week in La Romieu and thoroughly enjoyed our holiday. The location is beautiful: peaceful, full of character and surrounded by stunning countryside. La Romieu and nearby places such as Condom are well worth exploring.The property is fantastic for a large group. There were 28 of us and we made some brilliant memories here. The pool, outdoor space and setting make it a very special place.There are some areas for improvement. Our main concern was damaged tiles around the pool, which we discussed with the owner and were told would be repaired. Some sun loungers would also be a welcome addition. There were a few minor maintenance issues, but nothing that spoiled our holiday.Our main disappointment came after leaving. We received upsetting messages about cleaning and were initially told we had not paid the 280 cleaning fee. Our receipt confirmed we had, which the owner later acknowledged. We accept guests should leave a property respectfully and genuinely believed we had done so. With 28 people staying for a week, a few minor things may have been overlooked, but clearer departure instructions would have avoided much of the misunderstanding. To her credit, the owner acknowledged communication could have been clearer.Also check bedding and towel arrangements before travelling, as these cost extra.Overall, a beautiful property in a wonderful part of France. With improved communication and some maintenance, this would have been a 10/10 stay."

"The hotel was a great place to meet up with a friend for a couple of nights. Their restaurant offered a good selection for dinner and both of our meals were very tasty and reasonably priced. The breakfast was also economical and offered breads, yogurt, meats, cheeses, and fruit along with very good coffee. Our room was comfortable and clean with excellent bedding and comfortable beds. I also appreciated having a mini fridge and a water kettle in the room. The staff was very helpful in letting us know that hotel guests got free entry to the beaches and discounts on kayak or SUP rentals. We were right across from a little lake with nice beaches, a waterfront restaurant where we ate one night and a great ice cream shop. There is also a campground/cottage resort nearby where morning yoga was offered and a small open air market was held. It was a very good experience."
