Budget but served a purpose

This is very definitely a budget hotel. Very cheap and very basic. The air conditioning unit didn't work, but the TV did. The beds were a little lumpy but the linen was clean. The toilet/shower pod was showing its age but was clean and everthing worked. It really was just a place to rest our heads on a long journey so it was as expected.

As a cheap hotel, my expectation was rock bottom. I just wanted a bed in an air conditioned room. Somehow, they screwed it up! I arrived after a long drive to a sign apologising for the lack of a/c in French. I had to ask the receptionist if this referred to the rooms too. It did. On one of the hottest days. Wonderful! This alone was a pain and I was stuck without the room. Once getting to the room, the keycard stopped working almost immediately, which led to several frustrating trips to reception, after which we discovered that the door would open itself sometimes sans card. I had to hit the supermarket before it closed and got very annoyed by the constant issues. I eventually got a new room. Great! Except the fan wasn't working. There was only one socket in the whole room and the soap was empty. Okay, it was cheap, I can't expect....wait, what's that? A beetle infestation and the door also didn't lock? Not just a few beetles, but tens of them creeping through the door seals and getting everywhere. I even awoke in the night to find two on me! I also had to angle the bed against the door to stop it from being opened. The next morning, I mentioned the infestation - resigned to the fact that this was the worst hotel experience of my life - and I've stayed in cheap hotels in third world countries! The girl on reception presented a print out with a beetle and a cockroach and asked me which it was. Apparently they come out in the heat. Just not at other nearby hotels!

Le personnel à l'écoute, la chambre mal entretenue (toiles d'araignée...), demande un entretien complet et non superficiel, une seul prises électrique au niveau de la porte des sanitaires pas facile pour le chargement du téléphone, pour avoir fréquenté d'autres hôtels de la même chaîne celui-ci n'est pas génial.

Bonjour, Personnel accueillant, chambre propre et climatisée, demande chambre au RCH respectée. Robinetterie bien plus pratique que dans les "1ère classe" de la région parisienne et l'Oise. Il serait possible de mettre un arrêtoir ou une butée pour éviter le décrochage du rideau de douche lors de sa manipulation. Pas d'information orale à mon arrivée, pour l'ouverture du portail après 21h. Fallait trouver le code sur un petit papier volant, donné avec la carte d'ouverture de la porte de chambre. Au portail, il est indiqué, code visible sur la facture, il n'en n'est rien. Manque 1 table de chevet pour le second lit et absence de prises électriques près des lits.

Chambre convenable, en effet c'est petit mais honnêtement nous n'avons pas besoin d'une grande suite pour notre nuit. Nous sommes arrivés en pleine nuit donc réception fermée mais la borne à badge est disponible pour l'enregistrement automatique. Par contre difficile d'ouvrir la porte de la chambre mais après plusieurs essais ça c'est ouvert ! Le parking n'est pas gardé mais il y a un portail automatique à code. On récupère le code sur la borne de retrait des badges. La nuit était bof: beaucoup de monde qui hurlent, crient, parlent fort et rigolent dans le quartier et dans l'hôtel . C'est pénible mais pas le choix de supporter pour une nuit d'arrêt avant de reprendre notre route. Nous n'avons pas pris d'option petit déj alors je ne sais pas ce qu'il en est.

J'utilise hotels.com depuis quelques années mais c'est bien la première fois que que rien ne va... Arrivé après 21 heures (heure de fermeture de l'accueil) je vais jusqu'à la borne pour obtenir mes chambres, je rentre mon prénom,nom et puis vient le moment où l'on me demande mon numéro de réservation... Je regarde mes mails de confirmation de réservation envoyés par hôtels.com... Aucune information à ce sujet ... J'utilise le chat... Plein de réponses mais aucune concernant ma demande... On tente autre chose... Un numéro est inscrit sur la borne en cas d'urgence , certes, ce n'est pas une urgence dans le sens propre du terme, ( il est maintenant plus de minuit et cela fait 45 minutes que je tente avec tous les numéros sur mes mails d'obtenir mes chambres ). J'appelle.... HUIT FOIS !!! avec deux téléphones différents... Laisse deux messages pour expliquer que nous sommes désappointés et ne savons plus comment faire... ZÉRO RÉPONSE !!! J'imagine celui qui avait une " vraie urgence "... Résultat : pas de chambres pour la nuit, 126 € de perdu ! Obligé d'en chercher dans l'urgence de nouvelles. Sans oublier de payer à nouveau...
