We really enjoyed our long weekend. The house is a great example of the early 20th-century architecture that defines Cleveland. The furniture is a perfect complement to the architecture. The classic electronics in the living room are really cool. (Don’t worry, plenty of modern electronics, too!) But then again, I’m old enough to remember console TVs and record players! The vintage globe and Sears fencing are a nice period touch.
The house is small and comfortable. Everything was in place, clean, and ready for us when we showed up. All the basic household items were stocked, too. Mark and Jennifer were only a text away while we were in town.
The house is close to CLE, I-480, I-71, and the Rocky River Reservation: pretty much everywhere you want to go on the west side of Cleveland.
The breakfast/dining room at the back of the house was just the right size for our family. The bedrooms are not large, but they are comfortable. The kitchen is not large but, again, just the right size for our needs this weekend.
I have been curious about how those Nest thermostats work and I got my chance this weekend. The house can be comfortably set to your desired temperature. Everything in the house worked just as expected.
We’ll check out this house next time we are coming to Cleveland.
