Staff was very friendly and made us feel welcome and comfortable. It seemed like the construction and finishing was a little off. Beds were very comfortable.

Bad smell!

The first room we had was not the room we reserved, but we let that go. That was until we couldn’t stand the horrible stink that started to give us a headache. The staff didn’t seem surprised!

One of the best!!!!

We didn’t notice anything but good about this hotel. It was super clean and everything worked perfect. Especially the thermostat which was great in the summer time heat. AC was cold! Awesome breakfast both days and a long time to get it. (6:00 to 10:00am) It is also located about 300 yards off of the Main Street so there was zero traffic noise at night.

Rooms smell

Room smelled horrible. We complained at the desk and were given a bottle of “odor removal” spray that added a baby powder smell on top of the cat feces smell. This hotel takes pets and apparently doesn’t make sure rooms are appropriately cleaned between guests. All we got at check out, after paying for our $180 night was “sorry about that.” Stay elsewhere.

The ceilings are so thin in this place the people walking above shake the entire room. Our phone didn’t work and halfway through a shower is a poor time to realize the conditioner pump was empty. Staffs attitude towards these problems was complacent. For $180 in a small crappy town I expected better.

Bad experience at Hampton Inn Sedalia

When we arrived the lady working front desk her name was Levita was very unfriendly. When we first arrived she was very loud and rude to a customer on the phone who was trying to locate the property. She acted like we were a major inconvenience. We always ask for high floor rooms and it is on our profile. We were assigned a room on the first floor and it was a disabled room at that. We asked to be moved and we’re told they don’t do that. We also asked for additional blankets since we had all 4 kids with us and were told they had none. Keep in mind it was only us and a couple other guests in the entire hotel. Not a pleasant experience at all and definitely expect more from Hilton

There was a funny odor to the room. Also when there were people outside smoking (our room was directly above a smoking area) the air conditioning unit brought the smoke smell directly into our room.
