"We stayed in the Sandhouse many years ago and throughly enjoyed our stay in a luxury 4 star experience. This time it was as if the place had stayed still in time in every sense it is tired it is grubby and has lost its panache. On a positive the breakfast was first class and all the staff were lovely. So whilst I would not say it was a disaster the 4 star pricing was not reflective of the hotel standard."

Breakfast was delicious, though they only start serving at 8:30am so plan accordingly. John was a very welcoming host and made sure we had everything we needed. Only thing I would say is if you don’t know how to light a peat fire research it , lol we had Donagle family to show us the way. But it was wonderful staying here, you can’t go wrong especially if you have a large group with all the bedrooms. I would definitely stay here again "

"This was in a quiet location about 1 mile out of Ardara. A secluded and peaceful place. The main house was old and interesting. Our room was comfortable and clean but had quite a smell which wasn’t unpleasant so much as unusual. However, we both enjoyed a good night’s sleep in a comfortable bed. The breakfast was good and the staff very pleasant. Although it was okay, I felt that it was overpriced by some margin. We paid £127 for two people b&b for one night which was probably about £40- £50 too much."
