"We have stayed here before and knew it was just about ok for an overnight stop, however our previous visits had been earlier in the year. On this occasion in July it was much warmer and the in room AC was almost pointless, barely any flow even on maximum and it did very little to cool the room. The room and building are showing their age and are shabby round the edges."

"The hotel is in an ideal location however it needs a complete renovation The rooms are tired and dated and the en-suite was un workable, the shower cubicle door was broken and wouldn’t close. The complementary toiletries were 3 sachets of shampoo which wasn’t adequate for a shower. We feel that the price advertised was extortionate for the facilities we had. We will not be returning or recommend this hotel "

Once again the location was perfect (just off the auto-route), the staff were as friendly and helpful as ever, the restaurant presenting local menu choices as well as regular fare, the swimming pool for relaxation (although we didn’t use it due to cooler weather) and plenty of free parking. Situated close to the railway station, the town centre and the old medieval town which is worth a stroll round.
