Fabulous location and beautiful grounds! Walking distance to excellent restaurants, grocery and right on prime area of the beach. Food is fantastic and all staff were all wonderful and helpful. Beware of the "standard garden rooms". They are right on road--no protection from street noise:( Bathrooms are dated, but rooms in general are comfortable. Good place to stay.
Wonderful 2nd stay at this property! Loved the bungalow near the ocean, super convenient and very large. The food onsite is great with lots of options. The hotel is conveniently located right in the middle of the St Teresa strip, you will never need your car if you are looking for options close by. Amazing stay, would definitely stay here again and again!
We stayed here for 5 nights and I can’t say enough good things about the hotel! We were in the beachside suite and it was incredible- well worth the money. Very clean, comfortable beds, beautiful pool.
The rest of the hotel was also great. Really good yoga classes, good food and one of the most relaxing spas I’ve ever been to. Also, all the staff were wonderful and were very friendly with our kids. Front desk staff was incredibly helpful, just going above and beyond.
If you’re going to Santa Teresa I would definitely recommend staying here!

Exceptional staff. Attentive, friendly and go above and beyond. We wanted to watch the Patriots game and they took the time to help find the channel. They treat you like the family you always wanted. Fitness classes are top notch. Instructors were all excellent. From the functional fitness to the stretch to the restorative yoga. Landscaping crews always working to keep the resort beautiful. Food was perfect we don’t need to leave
Beautiful property, friendly and attentive staff, with easy access to the beach as well as breakfast , lunch and dinner spots! We will stay here again!
A little dirty from all the leaves and dead plants that fall, but most hotels have the same problem in the area. There was a huge storm at night and we could not sleep from the incredible noise on the roof from the rain. I would say this was 5x the normal noise. Other than that, the property was great. 5-star staff!
This was the second night of a seven nights hotel hopping trip in Costa Rica, February 2023.
Perfect settings, clean rooms, nice friendly service, beautiful beach in front of the restaurant, above average food when compared to expensive resorts. I regret for spending one night here.
Loved this property. It was wonderful from beginning to end. We got to see the howling monkeys too! The only bad thing is the unpaved roads to get to this wonderful piece of heaven. Kayaking is 12 mins away. You must do that while staying here!

Bathrooms need renovation! The rest is very good.
The garden room is big with a terrace, recently renewed. The bedding is good and the kitchenette very complete (too bad it is by the bed and not at the closed terrace which would be very convenient.
But the bathrooms are terribly dated and they know it, I complained. The fawcetts are old, in awful conditions. The old wood cabinet under the sink only makes things worse, insects love dark humid wood so we had a huge cockroach come out of there. The sink and shower are fully open to also let those disgusting creatures hide and come out of there.
Other than that, the location, gardens, pool and beach side are great! Breakfast is nicely served with 2 options: continental and local "tico" breakfast. The funny thing is they offer either juice OR coffee... how much would they spend on offering both like every other hotel? You may also go back to your room and make your own coffee... isn't it the same if offered during breakfast?
One more remark. With regards to security. The parking gate is fully open all day, all night. We never saw a guard at the gate, nor is there any way to close it. And the reception is far and closed at night. Some security measures should be taken, at least a code to enter the gate from the open parking lot.
Excelente hotel, desde os quartos, equipe, localização, aulas de yoga, delicioso café da manhã de frente para a praia. Voltarei mais vezes! Destaco a simpatia da Guadalupe.
This is a beautiful property in the heart of the Tamarindo area. Right on the beach with various pool options, the beautifully landscaped resort offered the perfect hub for an activity filled Costa Rican vacation. We would love to come back. We left the Diria to spend some time in the Nicoya peninsula and we wished we had stayed at the Diria. As beautiful as the nicoya península is, Tanarindo and the Diria had more to offer. Our room was on the across the street area and really I think it’s not worth it to spend the premium to be right on the beach. We had beautiful views from our balcony. The one thing i wish our room had was a towel warmer or some way to get wet suits, towels, or other articles dry. It rained every afternoon and being wet and wearing wet stuff is part of being in the tropics. But it would just be nice to be able to get things dry. Loved the Diria.
