Haliburton Post House

"We were unfamiliar with the Haliburton Post House and booked two nights , mid week, on a whim to get out of town. The room was beautiful, the food and wine selection was great. We took advantage of their waterfront and toys on what may have been the hottest day of the year. Thanks to the staff who made us feel welcome and were the highlight of our stay."

"We had so much fun at this resort. The cabin was perfect and everything was clean and exactly what we expected. The outdoor table and set up was so nice to be able to watch kids play either at the park or the beach, and also just enjoy a morning coffee. We used the boats and kayaks and games room too. Only thing was you have to park at the main area and carry items to your cabin but it’s not far. Would definitely recommend to other families. We will be back!"

"We had a great time here, Stephanie and Dave made us feel at home, from welcoming us in, taking pictures of us without us having to ask them, a celiac friendly breakfast, water sports and friendly fellow visitors! It was a last minute getaway for us and it did not feel like we needed anything as they have thought of everything we would possibly need. Thank you guys, we will be back ❤️"

"Property so good, enjoyed the views from back and front. Loved the pool facility, game area.One thing need improvement is basement rooms, have no proper blinds or curtains.Also main floor windows and doors need cleaning, saw lots of webs, seemed like we were first tenants of the season.Overall had great time."

"The cottage had everything we needed for a very enjoyable weekend. Four bedrooms, 1 1/2 baths. The dam is right there and we all loved the sound of the running water all day. The kitchen had all I needed for preparing food, the living room had comfortable seating for all 6 adults. Our dog was welcome and the deck even has gates so the dog can’t get off the deck until we’re ready. Lovely, large yard and good docks for our boat. My family had a wonderful four day weekend at this facility. We usually go to a different place each year but are Strongly considering going back to this cottage next year."

"We really enjoyed this property as a party of 6 and would recommend it. The deck on the water is very big and sturdy. Not sure if it was bad luck or lack of fishing skills but we had multiple rods and tackle and bait but couldn't even get a nibble off the dock. I know they are in there but they didnt want to play. Kayaks were great relaxing fun. Wished the fishing boat had proper oars as we found it difficult to navigate the lake with the canoe oars. Not a complaint just an observation. We would love to book again in the future. Thanks for having us."
