"Our stay was excellent. Everyone from Maria to Joe were very welcoming and friendly during our stay. Our cabaña was very cozy and clean when we arrived and during our stay. If we return to Placencia, Hotel Azure Del Mar will be our choice."

"Pal's is an incredible value if you're looking for an authentic Belizian beachfront experience in Dangriga. It's literally right on the beach, and you'll be waking up to that view every morning. The room was spotless, the bed was very comfortable, and everything was well maintained. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and went out of their way to make us feel at home. If you're someone who wants the full American-style resort experience with an on-site restaurant, bar, and lots of amenities, you may prefer Pelican Beach. But if you're an adventurer who values a sparkling clean room, a comfortable bed, an unbeatable beachfront location, amazing views, and exceptional hospitality, Pal's is the perfect choice. We'd happily stay here again."

"The resort was beautiful and very well kept, both the grounds (including beach and pool area), and the rooms! Maid service everyday with fresh towels, trash disposal, made beds, filling up water jugs, sweep, mop… the works! We stayed in a two bedroom ocean view suite and it was perfect for our family of 4. The full kitchen was a great option for cooking a few dinners when we didn’t want to go out. The restaurant Casa De Maize was delicious, everything we tried was amazing! The staff is SO friendly and accommodating as well! You can tell that everyone who works there takes pride in their job and wants everyone to have a great experience! They can arrange shuttle rides into town, or to the store for a small fee, or there is a free daily shuttle that goes into Placencia as well. The swim up bar is a fun option for drinks, or you can make your own and bring them to the pool ( just bring a yeti cup). The pool is right on the beach and they work hard to keep it in good shape. There was seaweed while we were there, but they do their best to keep it to a minimum on the shore. The lagoon side is really beautiful as well (that is where the restaurant is) my son bought a fishing pole in town and enjoyed fishing off the dock there and the pier on the ocean side. There is also a little fire roasted pizza place by the pool to get food as well. You can charge things to your room which is nice. All in all we had an awesome time at the Umaya resort and would highly recommend staying here!!!!"

Sandpiper Beach Cabanas

"If the cabana I was in was any closer to the beach it would almost be in the water. The unobstructed view of the sea was amazing from the chairs and hammock on the front veranda. In front of the cabana there were chairs and hammocks near the waterline as well. Arlene is a fantastic host and supplied the cabana with all the essentials needed for a comfortable stay. I would definitely stay there again."

From the moment we arrived until the day we left, the staff was the most professional, courteous, and genuinely caring team I have ever encountered. They didn't just provide great service—they made us feel like family. Every interaction was warm, welcoming, and sincere. One staff member who truly stood out was **George**. His attention to detail, professionalism, and willingness to go above and beyond made our stay unforgettable. He was always attentive, accommodating, and seemed to anticipate our needs before we even had to ask. George is a tremendous asset to the resort. The resort itself was absolutely immaculate. Every area was spotless, beautifully maintained, and designed to create a peaceful, relaxing atmosphere. The vibe was exactly what we were looking for—quiet, welcoming, and the perfect place to unwind. And let's not forget the food! Every meal was delicious, beautifully prepared, and full of flavor. The drinks were equally impressive, expertly crafted, refreshing, and the perfect complement to each day in paradise.
