The views were so amazing! The cabin was super cozy and beautiful. We had everything we needed. I would definitely stay here again. I loved everything about this place.
Our family of 5, with 3 boys, really enjoyed our stay! The home had everything we needed to relax & enjoy our time in the area. The location was convenient for traveling to Yelllowstone & the Cody area attractions. We look forward to coming back!
We stayed in the cabin for our Yellowstone vacation. While it was only 45 minutes from the East entrance, we didn't take into account all of the driving around Yellowstone (not to mention the 24 hour drive from Michigan). The cabin itself was nice and it was quite nice to be away from technology (no cell service and no wifi). The only thing that we wished the cabin had was more cooking utensils. Other than that, it was a wonderful place to stay.
We loved the proximity to Cody and Yellowstone. We visited Yellowstone during the day and Cody for dinner each night.
The house is rustic, but as advertised. A great location and a great view
My family and I stayed there 5 days. Such a cozy, cute and clean place! Our 9 and 10 year old kids absolutely LOVED the upstairs (especially the cute way up to it with the ladder)! Brilliant idea! Very quite, peaceful and surprisingly not to many bugs! Would definitely come back again. Thanks for the hospitality
It was a great location for our family of two boys (7&9) and grandparents. We visited Yellowstone for 3 days and Cody for 1 day. Centrally located to both - we were able to access all corners/sites/scenic routes/easier hikes of the park except Lamar Valley (left by 7:30am and got home around dinner each night). Even though location is technically in the middle of East Entrance and Cody, there is the added time to get down the mountain from the cabin and within East Entrance before you start seeing Yellowstone sites. But the drive down the mountain can’t take more than 15min even with the slowest of drivers if you aren’t comfortable with steep winding dirt roads. But view is awesome from all angles as you go up/down! Our all wheel drive minivan did just fine with no concerns. Grandparents slept in lower level bedroom and the kids/parents slept in the upstairs bedroom and even parents used the ladder just fine in the middle of the night, though preferred to use the door entry for daytime needs. We spent most of our evenings on the deck eating dinner looking at the views. The peacefulness was exactly what we were looking for in this location after the Yellowstone crowds. We mostly used the stove top which worked great, but the oven worked well too. The upstairs area is a nice large open space-no ducking of head, and was perfect for our family. Camping chairs would be a perk for a more comfortable place to site outdoors besides the wooden benches. Would recommend to others!
This cabin was spacious, spotless, and soooo beautiful. The decor inside is just the perfect vibe for a cabin on the mountain. The views are absolutely out of this world. And who doesn't love the smell of fresh mountain air?! We also couldn't get over how pleasantly quiet it was. Perfect for getting away from the hustle and bustle of day to day life. The loft area was also amazing and HUGE! Two queen beds and TONS of space. It was the perfect way to give the kids their own space while the parents were able to have their own with the master bedroom on the main level.
There is no wi-fi here, and the cell service came in here and there, but not enough to make a call and certainly not enough to do any web-surfing. Bring along some DVD's and board games! I actually really appreciated the break from technology!
The drive up the moutain to the cabin doesn't take too horribly long, but rest assured, it is NO JOKE. That drive is VERY steep. It's a dirt road with no guardrails going up the side of a mountain. The first time we made the drive we were SO nervous, but I will say that after going back down and coming back up the next day, we got a ton more comfortable with it.
I also enjoyed that the drive was less than 30 minutes to Cody (PLEASE do yourself a favor and visit this town and go to the rodeo!), and it was also about 30-40 minutes to Yellowstone in the other direction.
All in all, this was really such a wonderful and comfortable place to stay! I highly recommend it!
We booked this property for our trip to visit Yellowstone. The cabin is very comfortable and had everything we needed. Plentiful very hot water for showers. A big deck with great views. Our kids loved having their own room up stairs with queen sized beds. The property is about half way from Cody to Yellowstone's east entrance. The road up to the property is pretty steep and can be rough. However for the price you can’t go wrong.
This cabin was just as advertised. It is a rustic, quaint cabin at the top of a long winding road with amazing views! It was very comfortable for four adults. It is located about 20 miles from Cody and 30 miles from Yellowstone, so was great for our purposes. Be forewarned, the road to the cabin is dirt and a little rough. We planned our days for one trip down in the morning, and a return trip in the evening. But don't let that make you afraid to try this cabin, especially if you like peace and quiet.
Breathtaking views and great location with easy access to many sites, points of interest and hiking. Cabin was very clean and quaint but definitely smaller than we expected. The kitchen has very basic items and if you’ll need mixing bowls, baking pans, foil, baggies, Tupperware, etc, be sure to bring your own. Cabin is supplied with extra blankets which is helpful for the cool nights. There are also plenty of space heaters and a stove in the living room that heats up the house very well.
They stay at high point was really quite magical! The cabin is very neat and clean, and has amazing sweeping views of the mountains. We stayed here to commute back and forth to Yellowstone. We chose to enter the east entrance since that is the least frequented entrance of the park. The dirt road is quite steep and windy to get to so if you’re renting a car, make sure it’s at least some kind of SUV with AWD. If there is a quick rainstorm, the road can get slick. The cabin has no wifi and no cell service. Not a deal breaker for us, but understand how it can be for some, which is why I’m including that in the review. If you want to listen to any music be sure to download any playlists to your devices before arriving. The stars at night are breathtaking, there are plenty of glasses, mugs, plates and utensils if you decide to shop at the local grocery store for provisions. All in all we had an excellent stay here with 4 adults and were very comfortable. The only way to access the bathroom from the loft is the super cool built in ladder, or walking down the steps from the outside.
We stayed here 4 nights in June 2023. The weather was overall pretty nice, but hard, windy storms do blow in quickly and unexpectedly being that high. Our first reaction was shock and awe at how high this property sits. The road leading to it was pretty windy and steep but overall manageable for our minivan. We had to follow the directions on the itinerary because our phone gps was non-responsive. The cabin was comfortable, clean, and had a neat layout. Views were completely awesome! I would definitely recommend this property to a small family with kids, like us. Fully stocked kitchen, bathroom, and bedrooms with all the essentials (and lots of blankets-which we definitely used!) Good cable tv selections (but no sports channels) and no internet signal (which was a nice reprieve). A big “Thank You” to our hosts!
We loved the view from the deck and spent every night on it. The location was great and we had no problem with the road to the cabin. We can’t wait to come back.
This was the perfect location for our son's grad trip to Yellowstone! 30 minutes to town & 30 to the park. The drive in and out wasn't busy at all and the scenery was stunning! We ate every meal on the porch just to soak in all the beauty! The only challenge for us was 5 people sharing one bathroom, but the "kids" in our group loved having their own loft space. It definitely got hotter up there with no AC, but cooled down pretty quickly once the windows were opened. We loved the property & would definitely stay again! Thanks for hosting some wonderful memories!
This was the perfect spot for my husband and me. We were able to see the sights for a few days and then have a day to enjoy our lovely cabin on the mountain. The views are awesome from every side. Highly recommend
My two sons and I planned taking my two grandsons to Yellowstone for over a year. They turned this year and we wanted to show them the west. This cabin was the best location being between Cody and the East Entrance to Yellowstone. There were comments about the drive up the mountain but it was not bad at all. When you get there, the views of the mountains are magnificent. We were fortunate to go to the Cody Rodeo a couple of nights, fished in the nearby lake, rode horseback at Bill Cody ranch a few miles away, and saw plenty of animals in the park. Overall this was a prime location and a great place to spend the week. We will go back again.
Mountain getaway! Road to property accurately described(very rough but our Mazda Sedan had no problem). Very limited cell service but you're there for the view, which was BEAUTIFUL!!! Would highly recommend if you're looking to really get away. 40 minutes from the cabin to East Yellowstone gate. Amazing drives.
