Welcome to Bonny Emerald Cottage, a fully fenced, pet-friendly cottage on a 1-acre block, just 5 minutes from Emerald & Sandy Beach.

Relax on the deck surrounded by lush greenery. Birdwatch by day, enjoy sundown with a glass of wine and star gaze at night.

Featuring air conditioning, two ceiling fans and eco-friendly toiletries. The living room can transform into a 2nd bed with the sofa bed or workspace.

Enjoy complete privacy, peace, and serenity, your subtropical escape awaits.

The large deck overlooks towering ferns and greenery and is fully fenced for pets. The deck is partially sheltered, offering a comfortable outdoor space for relaxation or letting pets roam safely.

Explore the backyard behind the cottage, a full acre of lush grounds. A short stroll to the top rewards you with epic views.

You’re also just a 5-minute drive from Emerald and Sandy beach, perfect for day trips.

Stay cool in summer with air conditioning and two high-ceiling fans throughout the cottage.

Extras provided for your comfort:
The living room sofa converts into a second bed, complete with pillows and linen. Blackout blinds, ceiling fan, and A/C included. A pull-out workstation sits by the window with natural light.

The bathroom is an ensuite and we provide eco-friendly toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, soap), quality coffee and a variety of teas. In the fridge, enjoy refreshments including milk and chocolate.

The cottage is an open layout that includes a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, private washing machine with detergent, outdoor clothesline, closet, iron, and hair dryer. Entertainment is covered with a Firewire TV offering Free-to-Air channels and Netflix.

Looking for more space and bedrooms? Bonny Emerald Main House sits separately on the same 1-acre property. Perfect for families or groups needing extra rooms and privacy. Book both listings together for a spacious, private retreat. Private access pathway and entrance on a grassy slope with beautiful views looking out to hinterland bush.

Both main house and granny flat guests are welcomed to explore up the slope to view the beautiful eucalyptus trees and ocean glimpses. Guests are setup to have full privacy and we also ensure to answer any questions or provide local tips anytime. We keep all descriptions updated in the listing with arrival instructions current, to ensure they have everything they need. The cottage is an open plan and sits on a peaceful 1-acre block. The cottage and separate main house each have their own private entry, deck, gardens and outlook for total privacy. If you need more space make sure to check out our second Airbnb listing to book the main house as well.

We’re pet-friendly! If you're bringing your dog, please ensure they’re well-behaved around other dogs, as the main house guests may also have friendly pets. We kindly ask that pets stay off all furniture and bedding.

Please note, the cottage entrance sits on a slope and has a few stairs leading to the deck and front door, not ideal for those with mobility concerns with slopes or stairs.

Regarding noise, as the neighbourhood is wonderfully quiet and we’d love to keep it that way for everyone to enjoy. We ask guests to be mindful of noise, especially in the evenings, and thank you in advance for respecting the peaceful surroundings.

Hosts are the friendliest, most responsive, most considerate I’ve had in decades. The cottage is in the most delightful setting and tastefully fitted out. It’s not massive in size, but hey, you’re there for the beach, yes? and there are many close by, including pet friendly. Highly recommend.
