This hotel was a nice surprise. The rooms were fantastic with a book theme right out of a fairy tale. The staff was helpful and friendly. The breakfast room was amazing with a great breakfast and they even offer afternoon tea with cake.the location was central near to shops and restaurants.

Such a lovely surprise. We didn't know much about it other than friends had stayed there. We had a river view room which was great. The breakfast was delicious and there was also an afternoon snack. Hate to leave.

If you make it to Coimbra, this hotel is in the perfect place. Roughly 15 or so rooms, easy to walk around and it sits right below the University. The staff was very friendly and attentive, it even has afternoon tea service. We Strongly recommend this boutique hotel.

The staff were amazing with friendly service. The hotel location and ambiance were simply great. The rooms were very clean, neat, comfortable, with a wonderful decoration mirroring the famous Joanina library. We really enjoyed our stay and recommend this charming hotel.

Very interesting book theme in all the rooms. I can’t imagine how much the owner spent on marble to create all of those marble book ends! It’s really an amazing place for a visit as you’ll never stay in a room like that anywhere else. The hotel is also very close to the university and to dozens of cafés.

Such an amazing hotel. The room was decorated beautifully and the bathroom looks like a library was real book titles. The bed was super comfortable, and the location could not have been more perfect. The staff at the front, Helena was super helpful with navigating public transit when we were confused and would absolutely stay at this hotel again and again given the opportunity.
