"I truly enjoyed my stay - from staff to amenities . I want to come back! Please note that it is a small town so finding lots of restaurants open late will be hard and using Uber to go to the airport (or anywhere) will be nearly impossible. Ask front desk for planning and assistance with this. "

"This is one of our favorite hotels in the world. It is Old-World glam, and was a favorite of Ernest Hemingway's. The dining and hospitality are wonderful. We also love the sweet town of Stressa, set on Lago Maggiore. We went Baromee island hopping to beat the heat. The ferry stop was a few minutes stroll from the Hotel. Was all in all an unforgettable experience - and our second time there. We willbe back! ."

"Immaculate, spacious room, and comfortable bed. Strong, hot, shower. Decent air conditioning. The only oddity is lack of microwave, but you get an oven instead (and food reheated that way tastes better, anyway). If you like windows open, the road by the property is not quiet on weekday mornings, and there are no reliable spots to find food anywhere near the property. But that's kind of an Italy thing, anyway. Learn the bus system before you arrive -- it's state-of-the-art and your best bet in the hills. "
