Cozy Log Cabin on 15 acres, with private lake, 1 mile from Lake Michigan

Log cabin 3 bed / 2 bath plus bunk room on 15 acres in Southwest Michigan! Includes a private small lake on property with dock and canoes. Hot tub & fire pit! Sleeps 10.
Relax in a 3-level cabin with loft, game room, outdoor bonfire pit, hot tub and grill. In the summer enjoy golf, wineries, boating, shopping, and more! In the winter enjoy snow mobile trails, cross country skiing, ice fishing, and cozy cabin life!
1 mile to Lake Michigan beaches. 15 minutes to St. Joseph and South Haven, 90 minutes from downtown Chicago 2.5 hours from Detroit. About the lake: the private lake is rustic, mostly used for nature & wildlife viewing. Some guests feel comfortable fishing & taking the canoes out; it is a no-frills experience and at your own risk. Please note there is a skoolie (green school bus) and tent campsite on property. We own these but are not currently renting them out. You will have the entire property to yourself! One day we hope to renovate the skoolie for additional guests.

Enjoyed the stay overall and the cabin was pretty nice but a bit dusty. The private lake was pretty swampy and pier was overgrown. The hot tub was very clean and a nice amenity. Nice size rooms and lots of games for entertainment.

2025 Michigan Vacation

The cabin gave us all (6 adults and 2 toddlers plus 2 dogs) to move around and have the rooms we needed! This property is 5min from beach and close to a dollar general & gas station. We had a good 4nights here and appreciated all the things the cabin was stocked with!

It was a great cabin for a family get away, plenty of beds . Dining table could seat 8 comfortably. Hot tub for4-5 . All the sleep areas were clean. We did not run the fans as several of us have allergies and they needed to have a good clean. We did say for being a cabin in the woods, it was not buggy inside. Built fires every night and enjoyed the weather.

Springtime at the Cabin

We absolutely loved our stay and the cabin; had everything we needed and more! The hottub did start to smell a little funky toward the end of our stay, but was one of the cleanest I've ever been in when we first arrived. Not sure what happened

Great cabin!

Our family of 8 had a wonderful stay at this spacious, fun cabin! Plenty of room to spread out inside, yet close to lots of local area activities. We didn’t spend much time at the pond/lake, but did enjoy the outdoor fire pit. Kelly was easy to communicate with, and we would highly recommend her place for anyone coming to the area.

Weekend of Serenity

The perfect getaway with family. My dad is still talking about how the hot tub was one of the best he’s ever been in! i loved the view from the porches. We are lucky enough to see the northern lights one night. Would definitely love to come back again.

Perfect Cabin for Wintering

Spent a week with 4 adults and a dog in this lovely cabin. We braved the cold and enjoy the hot tub. There were some nights it was very cold and we would’ve liked to have had the heat be warmer, but we were not able to adjust the heat so bring blankets and warm clothes if you’re staying in the winter - but that should be a givenThe place is a mix of old and new and definitely fit our needs for the week would recommend

My wife and I stayed for a blizzard weekend. From the hot tub, to beautiful walks in the snow, this is just what we needed. This property would be great to bring the family back to when it is warm. So many things to do with many local places to visit. Book your stay today!!

Lake Michigan overnight

Property was clean and the location was great for a day at any number of Lake Michigan beaches. More than enough room for the six of us. It was just an overnight trip so we didn't get to enjoy the property as much as we could of but would book it again in the future.

Great Rustic Cabin!

Our stay was very comfortable. The kids loved it, and there was plenty of room to roam. Wish the pond was usable, but too much algae. The mile ride to the beautiful, quiet beach was great! Minor issues….We wanted to turn off the air conditioner, but screens are not on most of the windows. More glasses for adults would be nice. Overall, great stay!

Isolated and modern vacation Cabin

Myself and some family and friends stayed here this past weekend and we had a total blast. The cabin is huge, gorgeous, incredibly modern and cozy. Kelly was quick and responsive with any questkkns or concerns we had. The private trail leading to the lake was nice but we didn't really interact with it as it was covered in algae. The hot tub really was the cherry on top. Overall our trip couldn't have gone any better. Would recommend this to anyone and everyone.

Relaxing Getaway

We stayed for 4 nights and had a wonderful time! We loved the convenience of the location and being close to restaurants and beaches, yet still feeling like we were secluded enough for a relaxing time. The house was wonderful, and had lots to do for kids (and kids at heart)! Our 3.5 year olds had a blast in the basement! Our only complaint would be the need to have a second bathroom. Just a half bath downstairs would be nice, so we don’t all have to share one. Other than that, it was great, and clean! Plenty of towels and beach towels were available, we shouldn’t have brought our own. The bunk beds were a hit with our kids as well! We had a great time, and loved the area! Thanks!!

From the moment I booked this cabin the host was in communication. This made check in and check out seamless. We live in the city and this was the perfect escape for us and our small dog. I loved siting by the firepit or in the hot tub. My dog loved romping around in the snow. Inside the cabin we enjoyed the ping pong table. The cabin vibe is cozy and relaxing. The only cons I have that are worth noting for future guests 1) You have to bring your own firewood to the property. I wish they had an option where we could pay to have fire wood delivered ahead of or during our stay. 2) The ice maker was not working. We did not realize it until we needed ice. All in all no big deal. We have already referred this property to friends and family and look forward to going back.

Cozy Cabin

We enjoyed our stay at the cabin! It had a lot of nice features and was very comfortable. The pond was covered in algae and did not look as nice as the pictures showed, so we ended up not utilizing the canoe, but it may have been the time of year we were visiting. Otherwise, our stay was great! Lots of room to relax, plenty of activities right there on the property, and a short drive to go into town to do things!
