About this property

The Palace: Luxury Living the whole family will enjoy! Indoor Swim Spa Hot Tub

  • Come enjoy Southwest Michigan's awesome beaches many within 12 minutes of a drive. The two main beaches are Silver Beach which is located in St.Joseph and South Beach which is located in South Haven, with many others surrounding the area. Our home is nestled in a quiet setting. Luxury 2 Bedroom a master suite, and (2nd is a open concept room) sleeps 3 with additional space for air mattresses. The East wing has 5 more bedrooms and sleeping areas, along with 3 more bathrooms. Enjoy your own private deck above the pool area. Very private property with plenty of space for the kids to run around. The rental also has a pool table, ping pong, along with basketball hoops. Laundry facilities on site. Pet's under 50 pounds welcome with additional security deposit. There are 2 separate living quarters. Our guests rent the West Wing described above. The East Wing is a totally separate entrance. We occasionally live in a mother in law suite in the Far East side of the property. We usually live on our boat during the summer weekends. We do come home to verify the proper amount of guests checking in, just to be sure it matches the paid amount.
    Since the property is approximately 14,000 square feet, we supply cameras throughout the property, so you can monitor your rented areas from your own 36 inch TV. (Some squares are black where there use to be interior cameras.) This is so you always know where your friends and family are. Be sure to monitor your guests while they are swimming. No Lifeguard EVER on duty. VRBO does not allow cameras inside living space. Also, enjoy all your favorite sporting events on a number of different television sets up to 80 inches, even by the pool. New Fall of 2021 a indoor swim spa for year round use. Hang out in spa with partial kitchen in garage, all while looking outside thru glass garage door.

Fun way to spend a weekend

Plenty of space for a large group. Warm and inviting interior and plenty of outdoor space with a nice pool. We had a lot of fun as a group and can see ourselves coming back if available

Excellent for Family

Great home to spend a family vacation. Lots of room. Plenty of onsite activities. Needs minor updates as far as equipment such as Grill hot tub but overall excellent space to spend with family.

Great spot for the family

We visited here as a family reunion. The home is fantastic for our multigenerational getaway. Keith was responsive to any questions and was quick to stop by to help. This home had everything that we didn't even need to go to the beach!

Extended family get away

Pool was great! Lots of space to spread out. Plenty of outdoor seating. Kids really enjoyed the pool table and video game machine. Plenty of kitchen gadgets and dishes to cook for and feed large group.

Grandson College Graduation Event

It was very comfortable and had everything you needed when it came to household supplies and equipment. Once I met Keith in person he was very accommodating and made himself available when we needed him. We had a great time and treated the property as if it was our very own.

Excellent Getaway Location

We had a great time. The property was clean, well furnished, and comfortable. The host was available when we needed assistance or had questions. It wasn't too far from St. Joseph/Benton Harbor area so we were able to pop in and out for some shoreline fun. I would definitely seek out this property again should I look at being in the area.

Family vacation at the Palace

We had a fantastic time at the Palace. The property is spacious, and we had plenty of room for our family. There was plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, and the family immensely enjoyed the pool. The water was warm, and the kids were swimming at 9am in the morning. I would highly recommend the Palace as a vacation destination.

This was a family trip for our 50th anniversary. We had a great long weekend. The property was close to Lake Michigan and quiet. Our Hosts were responsive to any questions we had. We enjoyed all of the amenities.

Great Stay!

This please was perfect for a big family to stay. We had 12 adults and 2 children and we fit perfectly. The extra loft above the garage is beautiful and a great place for everyone to hang out if it’s raining with games, tv, massage chair, and pool table. When the weather was nice, we had a spacious pool area with a grill and plenty of chairs. The host, Keith, was very responsive with any questions that we had and the place was clean when we arrived. Highly recommend this place!

Family Christmas in June at the Compound!

Beautiful Property, Very Clean, and had everything we needed for our stay! We had 15 in our group and pets and there was plenty of space for all! We Loved the Pool and the layout of the access to the refrigerator and freezer next to the pool. The upstairs was a great gathering spot for everyone with the billiards table, 80" TV, huge couch and massage chair. I definitely would reccomend this Property for 2 people or Large Groups!!

Large property with pool

On the positive side the property is very spacious and has a great outdoor space with a patio and pool. The house is split into a two bedroom apartment with a large party room, separated by the garage from the main house with five more bedrooms. Read the fine print regarding extra charges for 6• people or you will not get the access code. Also whole place feels really cluttered with owners personal effects.

Great spot with a lot of amenities

We had a 3 generation group stay at this place was great! It’s a 4 bedroom house, with an attached garage with an apartment above it. The apartment has a bedroom and open area with bunk beds and the owners spared no expense with the appliances and things to do there. There are definitely quirks to be expected with this being a private owner vs a management company but nothing was a big deal and we’re used to seeing those quirks being frequent rental/vrbo users. The only major complaint we had was the grill. I read reviews that it wasn’t great but assumed it had been replaced. We had 3 generations of grillers trying to get it going and it ended up blowing flames out the front onto my husbands clothes which were ruined. It also was SUPER gross with leftover meat on the grates. So I wouldn’t use the grill and definitely don’t let kids around it if you do. Keith was incredibly responsive and helpful anytime we needed him. There is a business on the property but I’m surprised by the reviews complaining about that because we never saw anyone unless we used the basketball hoops on that separate driveway. So just an FYI

The house was the PERFECT location for our family with an autistic teen. Close to the beach so we could go explore but we had a private water oasis to enjoy at this BEAUTIFUL home when he got overwhelmed by the crowds at the beach. The gorgeous kitchen was fully stocked with everything you could ever need. After check in we were able to connect with the host easily by calling with any questions/concerns. This house is a vacation in itself! Highly recommend!

Amazing house for a large group
