The people were all very friendly and the room was good and quite clean. The kitchen on the 1st floor, however, was pretty gross and could use with some attention. Nice that they have parking, although it is quite limited. There’s a couple of working lifts and a nice view from the 7th floor. Very close to Pettah Market and only about a 20 minute walk to the Dutch hospital.

Good Location/Underwhelming Room

Positives are that it's in a great central location near the Red Mosque and restaurants and a great price. The staff was really friendly and helpful as well and helped me arrange airport transportation. Negatives are that the internet didn't work the day I was there, the room A/C was set to 32 degrees and I couldn't adjust it, and the room and hotel itself seemed a little run down and creepy. I didn't mind too much since I was there for just a night before my flight home, though. Would recommend for short stays because of the price and location.

Seriously, other bad reviews are exagerated. People expect to have a palace for 20$?? The room was perfectly find for this kind of budget hotel. Staff was very kind and helpfull. Neighbourhood can be creepy on sundays and at night but ok during the day. Bed was confortable. I had a view on the city and the lotus tower on the 6th floor.

Would not recommend.

Great location. However the room was very dirty and the washroom really stunk. The lift was broken. Night staff is rude. Day staff very friendly.

Hôtel très moyen, suffisant pour une nuit

Nous avons séjourné ici une nuit pour être proche de la gare et prendre le premier train pour Kandy. Le quartier n'est pas vraiment sympa et très bruyant. Il est situé juste à côté de la mosquée donc réveil obligatoire la nuit...

The hotel is pretty close to the train station Colombo Fort, so you can walk there. The room is nothing exceptional, neither the staff so only for connected flights or trains.

the hotel was difficult to find the cab driver had

This hotel was average in comfort and cleanliness It was in an obscure location and the cab driver had to stop and ask for directions at least twice. There was no tea making facilities in the room The staff were helpful and provided information on tourism and street directions.
