"The Farmstead Inn far exceeded our expectations. The grounds were impeccable. Landscaped beautifully. The room was immaculately clean, the bed very comfortable, and it even had a sofa and two recliners. The breakfast was very good with a wide selection of food. Loved the biscuits and gravy, yogurt and granola, as well as scrambled eggs and sausage. Needless to say, this will be our place to stay whenever visiting Shipshewana. The staff were friendly and always greeted you. Kudos to Farmstead Inn."

"This hotel had a 9.0 rating on Hotels.com. That is way overly optimistic. It is maybe a 7. The room was OK, but the whole hallway and room smelled musty. The breakfast was weak. The bagels in the plastic bin were actually still frozen!"

"First of all, I couldn’t get checked in due to the third-party booking app I used. The gentleman was kind enough to allow me to go to my room in lieu of waiting for the response. He knew that I was a travel nurse because I frequent there often. My advice to anyone thinking of staying here is to book at the front desk directly with him as he will match any third-party app and there’s never any issues"
