"We didn't realize that this home was built for veterans... a place for them to unwind, hunt, fish, and to enjoy their families and each other. The setting is beautiful with wide open space, a pond, walking areas, and is very tranquil. The home has two living areas and kitchens - perfect for large families - but very simple... almost humbling, knowing its true purpose. We (eight 61-69 yo siblings & spouses) definitely enjoyed our stay!"

"We stayed here over a long weekend with relatives from out of state and the host was welcoming to our large group including children and a small dog. It was the perfect hub to relax and visit after busy days, and had space for the kids to set up a game table while the adults visited. Highly recommend!"

"This little house is perfect for a stay of a couple of days or a month. All the amenities of home. Everything needed was there. The TV actually had channels, and the internet worked properly. Plus extremely clean and comfortable. No cheap, crappy, uncomfortable furniture or beds here. Very good quality reclining couches in the living room and very comfortable beds. Plus, my wife thought it was decorated adorably. Ceiling fans in every room, which was important to us. I could live there permanently.The hosts were very quick to answer a couple of questions I had."

"Don't waste your money on hotels. They just aren't worth it! You can have a cabin to yourself with everything you need. PLUS trails to walk,the clearest pool and bath house I've ever been in, located in the middle of whatever you want to do. And only about 1 hour away from the Quad Cities. I was able to shuttle my grandkids to ballgames and practices for the week, plus visit my other kids in the Quad Cities. Check in was exactly how the hosts described. And they lay it all out on how you need to leave the cabin at checkout."

"This is our second year booking these cabins. We spend time fishing on the river which is about 10 minutes away. We love the cleanliness of the bathrooms. The cabins have SO much room. The host is so accommodating and always available. We will be back next Memorial Day, if not sooner! "
