  • The second oldest building remaining on The Ohio State University campus, Orton Hall was opened in 1893. Great communication from the host and we really appreciated that this place was in a nice leafy area, we got a glimpse of the local uni culture ( fascinating for travelling Australians) as it in the uni district, and it was walking distance to a busy road with shops, food, Gateway cinema.

Nice property, walking distance to OSU

Nice property within walking distance to THE Ohio State University. We were in town for my daughter’s graduation and this unit was only 1 block from her house! The area seemed safe but was a little noisy at night with loud music/parties in the area. Not a deal breaker for us, just something to be aware of when staying here. The host provided great communication before, during and after our stay. Would stay here again if in town for OSU events.

Good deal/ Close to campus

This is a nice small 2 bedroom apartment with parking included. Comfortable beds. It is right in the heart of off campus housing so be prepared for it to be loud. It didn’t bother us but could bother some. It was nice to be in walking distance to my daughter’s sorority house. Only problem we had is that there is no electrical outlet in the bathroom.

Good location, hard to sleep

Location is great for game day. It’s in the middle of student housing, so it was pretty loud at night with a lot of parties late into the night. No big deal — that’s what the location is. My disappointments were the building has tons of lights around it, I’m assuming for security, which is good. However, the window coverings were minimal, so it was super bright at night and difficult to sleep. I’d expect some light blocking shades for the windows to account for that. There were a few light bulbs missing in the interior lights. And the o lay lock on the door was a deadbolt — didn’t “feel” super secure. Overall, it was fine. Perfect location , disappointing, otherwise. We booked for two night but loved to a hotel for the second night in order to get some sleep.

The unit is clean, warm and welcoming. The kitchen is a nice size, and stocked w/basic utensils so we could buy groceries and cook. Check-in/ check-out was smooth. The one thing that takes away from the experience is thin blinds that let in street and hallway lights, which made it hard to get a good night's sleep.

Rooms were clean well enough, host was good to talk to, and it was affordable. The issue was the location and I should have done more research. Poor safety in the area, and right within the Greek frat/sorority housing so an EXTREME amount of noise until past 2am

Overall, this property was fine. The price matched the quality of the stay. There were things that were annoying like the floor being very dirty. And a couple of the closet doors were either broken or did not work properly. I’ve definitely stayed in better and worse places.

Great deal, cute neighborhood. pretty clean, not loud but keep in mind it was summer. There are lights that stay on outside all the time so if sleeping in the dark is important bring a sleep mask.
