Just don't stay here. It is not worth the money in any way, shape or form. The advertised amenities do not exist (e.g., no robes without asking, no Sleep-Well Menu, no children's menu in the restaurant). I have never felt so ripped-off after paying over $300 for one night. That said, ALL staff is wonderful, and the restaurant is good. The lobby does NOT look like the photo; it is not meant for lounging/visiting, etc. There are two unimpressive sofas, and that's it. Shockingly, there is no microwave in the room. This place plays out the old adage that the more one pays for a hotel room, the less one receives in return.

This is the most overpriced, overrated hotel that I have ever patronized. The room was TINY, and it held one bed, not two, as I had booked! Also, the lobby is a major disappointment; it does NOT look like the photo. I selected this hotel for its old-time grandeur and inviting lobby. There are two sofas in the lobby, not loads of seating as shown. I stayed here in order to have local relatives visit in the lobby--not an option. There is no microwave, no Sleep-Well menu, no children's menu, no table for eating, no "plush robes"--all are promised in the abundant literature. The hotel has zero character. I could go on and on and on. JUST DON'T STAY HERE. That said, the staff is friendly, and the restaurant is good. But the price is astronomical for no reason whatsoever.

My room was pretty small, but in an older historic building I can’t complain. The bed is very comfortable, the shower was nice.

The hotel lobby when you walk in is extremely nice and well kept. The bar/restaurant was good for drinks and the breakfast was good. Beyond that, there isn't anything special about the room we stayed in. It was clean, however very small and tight. The a/c unit in the room we had to mess with a little bit because it was extremely loud and shaky. For the cost of the room, I wouldn't stay here again.

There was a repair done on the floor , glued a plank in and didn’t clean the glue up so you stuck to the floors , pillow case had a black stain , shampoo and soap in shower was empty , had to call the front desk after 2 days get towels and soap no cleaning service …parking was 30 per day ( park your self) but was right by a bus stop that seemed no one was really waiting on the bus … I was traveling with my wife so thought I’d stay somewhere a bit nicer … lobby and building is beautiful but stopped there .. also didn’t think of it but there was no dresser in the rooms so just 4 hangers in the closet and you have to live out of your suitcase … the room smelled like sewer everytime you walked in … I’ve never left a review but thought I needed to, here .. will it stay here again , and I was excited when I made the reservations … so it’s not all negative , they did check us in early and the people seemed nice , I didn’t have a lot of interaction with them ..

For us this was a flawless stay! From the curbside valet parking to the incredible front desk staff, all were eager to help and making the effort for things to go seamlessly. Our room was a very large executive king suite. It was spacious with a separate bedroom and bath area, and was exceptionally clean. We are well traveled, and this was a fantastic room! The property itself is stunning and steeped in history. We will be back again, the next time we’re in the area. Thank everyone for making this a great stay!
