Easter stay in the Coromandal

Quiet relaxing getaway
Clean and tidy with everything you might need for great outdoor cooking and dining. Cosy inside even in bad weather and the nearby beach was beautiful in good weather. Sad to not hear any kiwi from the neighboring kiwi zone but perhaps they were on holiday too

Uncomplicated arrival. Everything as described for our repeat stay here in this secret haven in the hills above beautiful west facing Waitete Bay. We endeavoured to leave the property as spotless as it was upon our arrival but it was tough to match the care and attention with which the owners had prepared the venue for us. If you're after a casual Kiwi cabin a deux, this is the place. "Take only photographs, leave only footprints" is the message in this little piece of paradise.

Peaceful Paradise
This was an amazing place to stay. Very clean and tidy. The Hosts were amazing giving me my space and leaving the room ready for my arrival. The location was great with fantastic views out to the open sea and Islands dotted around. I was there for work and realised that I was 5 minutes' drive from the location I was visiting. For meals I travelled 10-15 minutes back into Coromandel Town where there were great options for dinner. A wonderful place to stay.

The Bach has everything you need to spend some days of tranquility and relaxation. So close to a small and beautiful beach, it’s surrounded by nature with an incredible view to the coast.

Awesome little place, views to die for. Aaron and Paula are great people they went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our stay. (Thanks for the rum and coke) Our only complaint was the bed, it was far too comfy we didn’t want to get out of it

Truly a peaceful haven
After a long journey from Auckland it was just what we needed.Set up the hill in amongst the Manuka and gardens with views out to sea, sitting on the deck we loved this place.The nearby beach was great for swimming at and little house was totally sufficient . The only problem was leaving …going to have to come back.

Surpassed all expectations!
The place is nestled in the most gorgeous bush above two fantastic beaches, both great for swimming and rock pool exploring! We loved the place so much it had everything that was needed in such a thoughtful way too. The hosts made it so you were private the whole time too unless you needed to chat. Loved everything you guys have done and thanks for a fantastic anniversary!

Clean, comfortable, beautiful. Tucked into the hillside with ocean views, and lush garden and trees. local beach was peaceful and wonderful. Misty morning, waking to the bird song, tea on the deck, was exactly what we needed. Ngā mihi nui Arron and Paula. Thank you for sharing your lovely place!

Beautiful Evening
We spent only one night at Blue Haven and we had a beautiful evening. The view is fantastic! In the morning we could see the top of the Sky Tower in Auckland! It was such a pleasant evening we grilled our dinner on the deck and enjoyed the outdoor table. We had a wonderful night's sleep in the quiet and peaceful surroundings.

Coromandel Getaway
The cabin was very clean and tidy with everything that we needed for a comfortable stay (the bed was extremely comfortable). The view from the deck was spectacular and the cabin was very quiet and peaceful in a bush setting. Anyone staying here should purchase some honey from the hosts as it is from their own bee hives and far nicer than store bought honey.

Loved it, Great place, nice and cosy . Did have to cut our trip short as my wife broke her leg week before, But will certainly be returning. Views are fantastic from the deck and the shower is fantastic.

If it was summer this property would be OK, warm and cosy. But it was just a bed for us in May. Torrential rain, thunderstorms, no wifi, bathroom disconnected from the bedroom meant you had to go outside in driving rain to use it. Nice view but 15 minute walk from beach.

Wonderful setting. Excellent hosts, in difficult time, went out of their way to ensure we were safe, had supplies, and when due to depart , that the roads were passable. Really enjoyed our time in this peaceful setting.

Paula and Aaron are exceptional hosts, down to earth good fellas. Plenty of privacy if you want, yet nothing is too much for these guys if you need something. A short walk to the beautiful beach of Waitete and a 10min walk to Torehina Bay. DOC tracks just along the road if that's your thing. Colville is close by if you want to go out for breakfast or a coffee. A large 4 Square, dairy, money machines, shops, restaurants etc are only a 20 min drive away in Coromandel. 5* all around!
