"Great location, lovely pool! The rooms are spacious. It would. We didn't know until we left that there were some breakfast products available in the building next to the pool. Also, there wasn't any info on the gym. A bit more comprehensive info in English (probably other languages too) would really help. Also, check in time of 5pm is really late, and check out of 10 is too early. I appreciate they need to clean a whole apartment, but its difficult to work with those times."

It’s located in the old city center with wonderful restaurants, bistros, shops, patisseries all around…and the famous geese sculpture is just outside! Free parking only a few minutes walk. Sarlat is a perfect central location for day trips to nearby Dordogne villages and many prehistoric sites. The local contact was most helpful with check in and other information. "Les placards de la cuisine sont sales, plein de toiles d'araignée, d'insectes et de larves d'insectes mort.es et vivant.es. Les plaques de la cuisine au gaz, très dangereuses, ca sent le gaz constemment lorsqu'on les utilise, les flammes sont très grosses et brûlent les casseroles. Les toiles sont défaillantes, la chasse d'eau eclabousse, déborde lorsqu'on la tire et ca fuit au sol à la base des toilettes. La machine à laver n'essorent pas, et peut-être ne lave pas non plus, très courte. Les...

"This is a great property which is perfect for two families sharing, plus has a granny annexe too. The kitchen is well equipped and also.has a BBQ. The pool was warm and brilliant for the kids. It's to the North West of Sarlat, about 10 mins from Salignac which has a small supermarket, boulangerie, petrol station etc. Loads of tourist things to do nearby including canoeing on the Dordogne. It feels very rural yet almost everything is within a 30 mins drive. The owner was very accommodating...

"This was a good option for a base when visiting the region. The room was spacious and the bed comfortable, if a little strangely designed. A lack of sensible plug sockets (we had to boil the kettle on the floor!) and the water from the shower went everywhere because there is no shower tray - yet is not a wet room! We found parking stressful, we arrived late at night and found no spaces free thanks to inconsiderate parking from guests, the hotel would do well to mark acual spaces. We did squeeze our tiny car alongside the bins for overnight, and then after heading out early could not get a space at any other time during our stay. The night porter did help us at one point by explaining that the street parking would be ok overnight as long as we moved again by 8am. Given that we were on a three week road trip we had a very full car and this wasn't ideal. We would have liked to try the restaurant but couldn't as they seemed to stop serving earlier than advertised. We were told it was 'fully booked' at around 8pm despite lots of empty tables, we think they just didn't like that we hadn't pre booked. All in all this hotel was good enough and comfortable for a short stay and maybe better if you are less busy and have less luggage, but for us it just has a few fracture points that in all probability would not encourage us to stay again. The town is charming and we found good options for both breakfast and later dinners, just don't go out too late as the options dwindle."

"We had an veranda and it was amazing view and ambiance. The hotel is clean and perfectly situated right in town. We were disappointed that we only stayed 2 nights. Hotel aside, what really clinched it for me to cause me to write this review was the service. I had forgotten my laptop and immediately the cleaning staff notified us but we were already on our way to Paris. The hotel then helped coordinate the laptop to be shipped back to Canada for me and kept me in the loop the whole process. Valentin - thank you for making a stressful situation much simpler! Highly recommend the staff and the hotel, I hope to be back one day."
