"When we opened the door we were greeted by a very strong chemical smell. The room looked ok but the shower had significant black mould.
We opened windows and put the bathroom fan on before heading out again.
Later when we came back the smell was not as strong but still noticeable. We asked to look at another room but it was just the same - strong chemical smell and black mould in the shower. The manager offered to spray it with bleach but that would have increased the smell.
With the windows open and air con on it was bearable.
The mould was a concern though and put us off using the pool.
We also had a cockroach crawl out of the bed, so overall not a good experience.
Disappointing because reviews we read beforehand were positive."
