"When I booked property it said 3 bedroom house. Instead it is a small motel and they gave us 3 out of 4 rooms and 2 of those had twin beds even though advertised as king. We made it work. It was the only pet friendly option we could find. Also, I booked through Expedia but was forced to download VRBO app to communicate. "I really enjoyed my stay at Hotel Alcatraz, everyone was very accommodating and the room was spacious and clean. I had the privilege of being the only guest for most of my stay and it was incredible. I was there for whale watching and every night before I finished dinner I was asked what time I wanted to have breakfast to best fit my schedule. I enjoyed the food and drinks that the restaurant offered very much, and the courtyard was an incredible dining space. Everyone I meet at the hotel was very friendly and egar to ensure my stay was enjoyable. I would absolutely return to Hotel Alcatraz and recommend it to anyone going to San Carlos. "
