"My wife and I stayed 4 night in this updated 1700s cottage that was clean and cozy. I’m an early riser so I enjoyed the early mornings by the fire pit and my wife slept in. We visited a lot of the area places ie Strasburg railroad, sight and sound theatre which was amazing! Went to Amish and or Mennonite owned and or run shops and markets and just had a relaxing time when we return to the cottage . The Meck’s did a wonderful job updating yet keeping it from the era. "We were in the area for a basketball tournament and decided to try and Air B&B Vs traditional hotel room. The extra space and hot tub were great for accommodating our family to enable us to take a break from the activity."

"The apartment was the perfect size for for our family of four and our dog. The kitchen was well appointed for cooking a few meals at home to save some money. The bathroom is large and well laid out. If you're looking for ice cream, check out Fox Meadows creamery, a short walk away or drive a few minutes to Hayloft ice cream. At Hayloft, you can feed ducks and fish in the adjacent pond. Achenbachs bakery, just down the road, has some good long johns."

"Very comfortable and attractive home away from home. I was there for 31 days . From snow melt to blooming Magnolias and daffodils ! A great private location with trees all around . Plenty of parking. Comfortable furniture. Fireplace . Very little traffic on the road infront. Recommended."

"The ModPod was the perfect location for us. We were able to do so much from this location. Lots to see and do within a 30 to 60 minute drive. We easily fit Hershey Park, Lancaster, Antiquing in Adamstown, and Gettysburg all into the three full days we had in Columbia. It was a treat to arrive to a full tray of homemade blueberry scones. "Myself, my wife, and our dog stayed the weekend while I was in town for a seminar and, truthfully, I can't think of a single thing about this property that wasn't wonderful. It's located close to everything in town without being in town itself. It's right off a main road, but the cottage is set back enough so that it is not obtrusive. "The Riverhouse was the perfect place for my solo getaway to take in all of what the area has to offer. There was much to enjoy on the property including the hot tub, huge deck, modern bathroom and kitchen with just about everything you can imagine, enormous TV in the family room, and convenient off-street parking. "This place was amazing! It has such a sense of calm and peace and was perfect for our family get-together. The bedrooms were spacious. We appreciated the snacks and whoopie pies provided. Derrick responded quickly to our questions about some light switches. It was convenient to our sightseeing adventures in the Lancaster area. Beautiful setting with the horse farm next door and the Amish buggies going by. Would definitely stay there again!"

"Beautiful quaint property with many amenities and very close to downtown Lancaster and Tanger outlets while maintaining the authentic Amish charm. The hosts were super friendly. The family dog, Ellie, was super sweet and greeted us every day while playing outside. There is a lot to do that don't require screens, so it provided a nice break from the technology dominated lives we all live these days. Everything was ad advertised. "Our stay at Country Haven was so relaxing and cozy. Our host family was great and very accommodating. The refrigerator was stocked completely for breakfast and homemade cookies in the freezer. The beds were very comfortable and plenty of towels for showers. Thank you host family for making our stay one we will need forget. We would definitely come back to Country Haven. "This is a beautiful home with beautiful views in a quiet area of Strasburg. We loved the sun room and porch views. We enjoyed watching the many birds in the area. One thing that might need to be considered before booking is that there are very steep stairs in the home and an unlevel pathway to the front door. If you have mobility issues, this may not be the right home for you."
