We went to view the solar eclipse. Booked a year in advance and they did not cancel out reservations like I heard so many stories about. They have a hot breakfast, waffles were fantastic.

This is a clean place to stay, but is on a busy and noisy highway. Also, the 2 driveways getting in and out of the place could really damage your vehicle, so go in slow and easy at a sharp angle! I was 1 of only 2 or 3 guests the night I stayed, but they had the full breakfast for me and everything! Good job!

The driveway isn’t car friendly. We scraped our front end every time we went out or in. We were in an SUV so we shouldn’t have but the driveway onto the road dipped really bad. It you have a low riding car don’t come here. Other than that the place was clean and quiet. Front desk was nice as well.

Good place to stay; worth the money.

The Quality Inn was an older building, but it was kept very nicely. They had a hot breakfast (the eggs are pre-packaged discs) which was satisfactory (great waffle maker). The room was quiet, well lit and had small fridge, microwave and blow dryer. All worked well. TV has DirecTV and plenty of channels. The front desk personnel were great. Bob was our check in person and he was cordial, could tell a story and good to be around. The entrances to the property are DANGEROUS. The dip from the road to the lot on either entrance is considerable, and if you are going faster than just a couple of mph, you ARE going to scrape the underside of your car. The grading NEEDS to be addressed. Good access to ice and soda machines. Reasonably priced, and we stayed there during the eclipse. We had reserved the room 8 months in advance and while other places cancelled their reservations (so they could charge higher prices - some 5X the normal rate), they honored the reservation. Would stay again.

Ok but ....

2nd time I've stayed here for a week. Issues with room from 1st visit had been addressed. New issues included ... 1st time I tried to use the microwave to cook lunch it became so noisy after 25-30 seconds it would have disturbed next door rooms if occupied. Complained 2nd night not fixed/replaced before I departed. Breakfast was not up to QI standards. Only hot options were waffies (soured batter) or biscuits & watery gravy (yesterday's leftovers). Every morning but one bottom side of biscuits were so dry the area could not be broken when trying to open biscuit and did nit absorb liquid from gravy. If you wanted butter and jelly with your biscuit or toast there was no jelly. Every other QI I've stayed at breakfast included eggs, sausage and various jam/jelly options. Also had more train / traffic noise this stay.
