"This was a good transition from previous cabin stays to the camping that happened the day after. Read the description carefully. The information is there, but I somehow missed "dry cabin" and that there was no seating. Sorry to my boys, for whom I booked it.;)
They were very thankful for the on-site restaurant since there is little in walking distance. The food quality is similar to a mess hall/cafeteria, and there was live music. If you just need a bed to sleep in, this is the place!:)...

"This place was wonderful. A little rustic, but the location and the restaurant on site were just lovely. The door was delicious, the cabin was clean and had everything you would need. The location was a hikers dream.
I wish we’d stayed a week!

"This was a cabin for 4 adults for a fishing trip. It was everything needed to fish hard all day and come back to camp and relax. There is running water and a shower with toilet. A microwave and a mini fridge is also in the room with two double beds. The coffee maker was a welcome addition for the next morning. The restaurant and bar was very welcoming and food was well made and the portions were more than fair. Overall I would recommend Gwins lodge to anyone looking for a base camp after a...

"Property was clean, well heated and dry, all blessings during cold, rainy weather fishing the Kenai. Beds were very comfortable and extra quilts made for a great cozy sleep hearing the rain patter off the roof."

It is also within walking/running distance of Russian Falls, which is a lovely outing. Resurrection Bay Trail is also accessible on foot from camp."
"Property is old but perfectly adequate for an overnight stay. Lots of history. Walls are thin. Beds are comfortable enough. The restaurant was convenient and food was good and affordable. I would stay again."
"Our visit exceeded all expectations. The cabins were well appointed, with each having its own tankless hot water heater. The beds were comfortable, and the showers wide with great water pressure, The lake was beautiful and there were plenty of canoes and kayaks to enjoy. The restaurant was very good, with breakfast included with the room. The wait staff were friendly, competent seasonal workers from Slovakia. The lodge is conveniently located a short drive from Cooper Landing, Seward, Whittier, and the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center. Our family of 9 enjoyed our 3-day stay before joining our cruise in Whittier. This is a great place to stay before or after a cruise."
"We stayed in a cabin for three nights while visiting Seward and the Kenai Fjords. We had no difficulty finding it and were warmly greeted by the host. We loved the location and found it to be a quiet and beautiful setting, and an easy drive to Seward and Exit Glacier area. The cabin was well-stocked with pots/pans/utensils to make a simple hot breakfast and pack lunch for our outings. The beds were wonderfully comfortable at the end of the long day. We would stay here again!"
