Room has no kettle, no TV (very basic), no air purifier. Room walls too dark and thin and a very basic room. Yet it’s called a premium room. I can hear my neighbor yawning. Noisy. Tourists moving out in the late/early hours of the night. Morning drilling and sawing. People partying at night at the rooftop. Everyone had difficulty with the room door. That said location is walkable from Kongens Nytrov.

If you have never stayed in a budget hotel in an old European city center, you might be be surprised at the small size and simplicity of the room (and elevator). If, however, you are an experienced traveler in Europe and stay in budget hotels, I think you will be delighted. The location is excellent, just 2.5 blocks away from a main main metro stop and in the middle of Nyhavn. I found no problems with cleanliness. Rooms are basic and small, but clean, and the washroom was shockingly spacious and bright compared to the small and dark room. There are plenty of outlets to use or charge your devices. Simple bed, and no distractions to keep you in your room - you are staying in a budget hotel to be out and see Copenhagen, not sit in a hotel room! The ground floor lounge is tasteful and welcoming featuring a small, but relatively well executed menu, comfortable seating, and a large TV. The staff does double duty working the lounge and the desk, so if you need assistance, you might need to walk into the lounge or kindly ding the bell at the desk. Most gratefully, I arrived on a very rainy day earlier than the check-in time. I noticed others had as well, and the hotel was most accommodating in early check-in provided the room was ready and they were happy to keep luggage behind the front desk until it was.

The property had excellent facilities in the lounge and bar area, very clean and comfortable. The staff were exceptional in assisting us with our needs. The rooms were lacking in that facilities were limited, but very clean. We were there for 4 nights, and unless you asked the room was not done. I have never come across this before. I suppose you get what you pay for.

Great place as it's very central. Easy check in and check out procedures. Boutique like design. Helpful staff. No privacy blinds/curtains during the day time. Place has central heating and no control of temperature. So unable to tailor to own preferences.

This hotel for just a short sleep. The room has poor amenity for the staying such as no cups for water etc… Even the bed is so uncomportable to sleep.

Good location, in the city yet quiet. The room called Premium Room furnished only with a bed, a chair and a piece of furniture to hang clothes. There's no room for anything else, it's a very small room.

Very nice place for my stay to visit my daughter. Extremely nice and helpful staff. Nice place to grab a quick breakfast, or relax and have a drink in the bar area after a long day.

Not for the one who wants high standard
The elevator was only for about 180kg ("2 people"), broke down and had to walk 5 stairs with luggage. No breakfast buffé - instead one plate with very slim selection. The room was not that fresh and bathroom not today's standard. More like a shower in a factory. Even though, it is located close to Nyhavn, so if you are not picky it is kind of ok.

One of the worst stays anywhere in the world. There were people in the hotel making an incredible amount of noise all through the night. The hotel staff wouldn’t do anything about it. When my teenage daughter got so upset she felt compelled to ask reception for help, she was told they wouldn’t in case people were having s*x. The walls are paper thin so unless everyone is quiet, it’s a noisy and uncomfortable place to try and sleep. There’s also a lot of noise from the street. The hotel rooms are tired. The radiator in the bathroom didn’t work and the very low water pressure in the shower made showering cold and unpleasant. We were given a breakfast in compensation but Hotel Maritime completely refused a partial refund despite their abysmal room and service. The person on reception who checked us in was polite and helpful; this is the only positive comment I can make. Avoid at all costs. It’s a budget option that will ruin your time in one of the best places in the world.

It was actually very bad! There was a sock (someone else’s) in the room, meaning they don’t even clean it before we arrived, The bedding was mark with some green stains, It was below freezing outside and you are not able to close the window Oh and the switch for the electricity plug is just on top of the bed at the head high, so if you are one of those who like to sleep with the head on the top side of the bed, you would turn it off while sleeping Ohhh… and there was no one in reception for me to tell them about this… so we slept in this as not other choice! The color on the wall is nice. We are from Scandinavia so please don’t tell me that I am having a culture shock

Great location
Great location. 5 minutes walk to Nyhavn and King's new square. My room was very small and basic, just a bed and a bath but they were both good. Good choice if you only want a place to sleep.

Close to the train station and main city sights. Small but comfortable. Value for money. My original room was right by the central stairwell. The hall door banged all night. Staff were lovely about moving me for subsequent nights.

Hotel Martime has changed to the less attractive
My wife and I have stayed here for more than ten years. The ownership changed in 2021, and not for the better. The nice buffet breakfast has disappeared and been replaced with an expensive predetermined breakfast (a small cup of coffee, a youghurt, a softbiled egg, a glass of juice, a small croissant and a breakfast bun, all at the price of DKR 175 per person (about $25). There is no longer free coffee in the lobby, but a thimbel size cup can be purchased DKR 28, about $4. Future stays in Copenhagen will be booked at the Huxley across the street (bigger rooms, nice buffet breakfast) or Bethel in Nyhavn.

Dear guest Because of corona we took away buffet breakfast. It’s simply more clean and you don’t have to touch spoons etc that everybody else has been touched . Coffee doesn’t cost xtra if you buy breakfast so the price is actually fair and not overpriced. We still hope you had a nice stay in Copenhagen. Best regards Hotel Maritime

A nice hotel convenient to the popular tourist areas. Rooms are small. The trucks that make deliveries in the early morning are very noisy. Skip buying the breakfast if you are expecting an American style meal.

Good location, bed was awful and room was noisy.
Stayed here three nights. Location was very good and everything we wanted to see was in walking distance. The bed was awful and woke up with a sore back. My bed was pushed up against the wall where the lift was. Heard the lift till midnight and awoke at 7 am to the lift. The lift does not run from midnight to 7 am. Not the best room.

Walking distance to Nyhavn, super clean and modern
Lovely hotel very close to Nyhavn, we walked everywhere. Hotel was very clean and modern. Staff were lovely. Room was clean and beds super comfy, bathroom was a great size. Street was a bit noisy early mornings with garbage trucks. Breakfast was good.
