"A fantastic hotel, with excellent breakfast buffet and so close to Plaza Mayor and the main attractions in Salamanca. Very helpful staff, who solved the problem with my mattress, promptly after the first night. (They added these fluffy mattress toppers that make you sink in them and twist your body until your spine hurts --and you wake up at 3 a.m.!) Advice to other travelers: test the mattress immediately after arrival, and if the stupid mattress topper is not what you want, ask them to remedy the issue right away."

"The breakfast was healthy with loads of choices. Also lots of gluten free options. The hotel has impressive views of the cathedral and there is a quick shortcut through the back of the hotel, to a path that leads to the bridge and city. 15 minutes maximum at a slow pace. Staff very friendly and accommodating. I couldn’t find a fault. Parking at the hotel was easy directly outside the hotel. We loved the hotel. Thank you for a lovely wonderful 2 night stay. "

"THE most peaceful and relaxing hotel during a multi-location trip. Stunning, historic and interesting.All the staff were so very welcomng and helpful. The grounds were pretty and well maintained. My room was quite basic, not particularly luxurious but authentic to the overall design. I'd recommend the balcony rooms with the loungers, particularly special and romantic IMO. Room 5. The pools are small, shallow and cold. Ideal for a quick cool down, but not for a good swim. More aesthetically pleasing than practical. The restaurant is delightful, with a good variety of dishes. Although I would have liked a couple of really traditional options to try and t We both thought that the portion sizes were a little on the small size. Ask for a table overlooking the river when booking. The prices were reasonable for a captured audience. If the We felt that there was a shortage of bar staff, particularly as it is a 5* property, and being fully booked the service was a little slow, however Rowena and Ellie were exceptionally hard working and extremely courteous (lovely people). I wouldnt hesitate to recommend this hotel and would return if I was in the area again."

"From the moment we arrived at hotel, which was almost midnight, we were treated like family. The warmth and attentiveness of Alberto made our first night unforgettable. We were welcome by two drinks and Alberto set up the perfect temperature of our room to our like. During our visit, I unfortunately got stung by a wasp, but the way the hotel mobilized to assist me was truly remarkable. They quickly provided a tweezer to remove the stinger, applied alcohol, and even offered mud from the spa to soothe the pain. The staff kept checking on me, making us feel cared for and loved. The accommodations were impeccable. Our room was clean, spacious, and featured the most comfortable mattress, ensuring a restful stay. We also enjoyed an excellent selection of ambient music that added to the relaxing atmosphere. A special shoutout to Lorena and Belén at the front desk—they exemplified true hospitality, helping us store our locally purchased cheese and chocolate and booking all our activities since our Spanish is not proficient. The spa was a highlight of our trip, offering various treatment pools and saunas that left us feeling rejuvenated. One of the most memorable experiences was the wine tour led by Mr. Mogul. His passion for winemaking shone through as he spent nearly three hours guiding us through the process and allowing us to taste some outstanding wines from this amazing winery. 100% recommend it to anyone!
