"We spent a lovely week in the apartment. The views of the ocean are amazing and there are wonderful places to eat and shop in the neighbourhood. The apartment is a delightful walk along the ocean away from the centre of the city. It also has pretty much everything you will need for your stay.The one thing that keeps it from being a five star review is the complex and awkward way the apartment is administered. VRBO immediately handed over the contract to another company, creating concerns over how any problems might be handled. We were asked to pay that company directly, not via VRBO. Happily there weren't any issues but it was not the relationship I was expecting. In addition, the owner wanted a 300 Euro deposit. There wasn't any problem with getting it back but the process of transferring money from a Canadian bank and back triggered several fees that ate into the amount. I would still rent the apartment again despite this (it really is lovely) but it's good to go in being aware that it will be required."
