Got rained out of my camping spot in nearby Mesa Verde by a major thunderstorm and found this hotel on short notice. Inexpensive but the room was clean and the property felt safe. Very close to local dining and drinking options as well.

We have been going to this property for years. It is being completely refurbished. Our suite was freshly painted, all new furniture, lighting, wall art, and wet bar. HVAC kept room comfortable and provided steady, pleasant white noise. It is a smoker friendly property (not all rooms). Looking forward to staying again.

The bed and pillows were comfortable. Complimentary breakfast was average hotel breakfast food. The staff managing the desk upon check in was less than helpful and although we reserved two rooms I had to argue for the second room. One of the rooms given to us had not been cleaned (beds were not made, there were no towels in the bathroom, and there was still trash in the room).

Check in was quick. Parking lot was in bad shape with junk around the the trash cans. Entry sidewalks dirty. Inside the room, the floor was unmopped and the bathtub drain hadn't been cleaned. No roller for toilet paper holder.

We checked in early and Shamal was working at the counter. She was so present and helpful to us. She upgraded us because they only had us down for one bed, but we needed two and also the pool was out of service, so she put us in a suite. Very helpful.

This old Best Western is being remodeled and has great potential being located on Main Street. The management needs to do a better job of training their staff. For example, the front desk worker should be able to answer the question about weekly and monthly rates that are advertised on the [under repairs] marquee. No pool yet. Comfortable beds, linens and good TV.

The hotel is conveniently located at the main road which was straight to the Mesa Verde's main gate. From there, everything was down hill: The swimming pool was closed for a while and rundown, The yard between the buildings was dirty and not maintained, broken equipment was sitting there. The coffee machine in our room was broken. When we came back from the tour at around 5:30 pm, the room was not cleaned, and the coffee machine was still not repaired/changed. (I had informed the front desk in the morning.) When I asked the front desk to clean the room, she just complaint that the cleaning crew only cleaned 20 rooms then left. However, she was willing to upgrade us to a suite, which was a nice move. That's why I gave it a 3-star, instead a 1-star review. The breakfast was most basic: There was no real juice, only the artificial fruit drinks. the hot water was locked in a room which we had to go to the front desk to ask the clerk to open the door and get it for us. The hotel was not worth the money we paid. I definitely will not return to that hotel in the future.

Nice to get a ground floor room you can drive up to. Thought their Continental breakfast went above and beyond! Cereal and Danish, bagels and muffins of course, but also waffles, juices, different fruit, also great coffee!

Property need revamped, cracked stirs, no pool access, gaps in the door seal letting lots of air from outside in, AC was loud and didn’t work well, no fire or o2 detector, internet was patchy. It was as clean as it could be based off the property condition. Staff was friendly.

The room was a king suite, nicely furnished and clean. The rest of the property was not as clean, a little run down. The ice machine on the second floor was broken. The breakfast could have included some protein, but not too bad. We would stay here again due to the great price!
