"Delighted to be given an apartment rather than room for the night. Very spacious and cool. Excellent location for walking to lake and good free parking a few minutes walk away. Breakfast was delivered early next morning. A good selection of food including fresh pastry/bread, coffee, teas and juice. Our only issue was shortage of cutlery which we reported at check out and the owner was not aware any was missing. "

"This was our third visit and as always everything was impeccable. A tiny bed and breakfast in the heart of Chiavenna that out performs some of the bigger hotels in the area. Beautiful room (No 2) with compact but really attractive shower room, coffee making machine and fridge. Easy check in and personalised breakfast order taken. Monica is so welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. We will be back"

"I stayed 6 days and would book here again but only room 4 or 5. The website is misleading: forget breakfast and do not expect aesthetics. The owners artworks are everywhere! Marco will insist that you squeeze into the tiniest parking space even if the whole lot is empty! In the end, the studio served its purpose....but this is no ‘mansion’: you hear every tiny sound from other rooms. Plastic flowers?"

We had our two daughters with us (19 and 25), the bedrooms were a little tight, but we understood that would be the case when we booked. "We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Andrea’s apartment. It was even nicer in person than in the photos. The view of the lake was amazing from all the windows, it's amazing to have a shower with a view. We had some rainy days while we were there, but we didn’t mind too much because you could just sit and watch the lake from the huge windows in the living room, and also from the balcony that has a small roof so you can step out there even in rainy weather. The apartment has a wood pellet...

"Hotel Vischi was amazing - we have been traveling in Italy for 2.5 weeks and spent our last 2 nights here. The rooms are very clean, spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was amazing also. We loved the area as it is quieter than the south of the lake but has plenty of walks and areas to bike ride. The ferry pickup is a short walk away. There is also ample free parking at the hotel. We used the spa (steam room and sauna. We used the hotel complimentary bikes to go on a 15k bike ride to the northern tip of the lake (all on a bike path) We loved our stay and will be back "
