"We enjoyed staying at the Aldeia. The small children had a great time running around and swimming in the pool. The adults enjoyed the quiet surroundings. The property is well run by the staff, especially Hannah who was available to provide what we needed. It will be great when the restaurant and gym are restarted. One very confusing experience is they never mentioned an actual couple lives on-site and are the hosts. They came by when we got there and were very kind and accommodating. It just would have been helpful to know they would be there. The listing said it was entirely self check-in. "

"We went through the online check in process and got annoyed once as it didn't save my progress when the kid grabbed my phone and minimized the app. It did make access smooth but wasn't necessary as there was staff at the front desk when we arrived (we weren't sure we would be in time for that). Really convenient grocery store around the corner and plenty of free parking but off season the restaurants were all closed most of the time (not really our thing to eat out but thought I'd mention it because we saw people wandering looking for food). We walked to the fort after driving to the lighthouse the day before and seeing how it was on the way. Awesome nature preserve accessed by going through the fort with a wonderful walk and views."
