"Very friendly, very helpful. When our driver couldn't make it to the Casa to take us to Santa Marta airport for our flight to Bogota, Marisela took us both in our car and drove the hour and 15 minutes to drop us off at the airport. Even though we don't speak much Spanish at all, her entire staff took the effort to communicate with us in English throughout our stay. The location is fantastic and you have the choice of tenting on the beach to common dorm type accomodation to a couple of rooms...

"The property was flooded by the river in December. They are remaking all the gardens. The front desk people are terrible. They dont have information and are the opposite of a client service. The food is wonderful. It is an eco-hotel without running water in the toilets but that is part of the philosophy. Tryed to pay with the credit card online so I did not have to pay a surcharge, but the front desk had not updated the system so it could not be done and had to pay a surcharge."

You are about 15 min away from coco beach which is beautiful place to go and hang out for the day if you are looking for a beach day. "Villa Tayrona exceeded my expectations. The property is peaceful, beautiful, and surrounded by breathtaking mountain and sky views. Everything was very clean, and the atmosphere was quiet and relaxing. One of the highlights of my stay was definitely the food. I had the arroz verde Tayrona with shrimp and a coconut limonada, and they were so delicious that I ordered them again the next night! The staff were incredibly kind and accommodating throughout my stay. Lena made transportation from Barranquilla airport simple and stress-free and even arranged food and drinks for my late-night arrival, which was such a thoughtful touch. I also appreciated how helpful everyone was with explaining local bus transportation, which turned out to be the easiest and most affordable way for me to get around. The location is perfect — within walking distance to Tayrona National Park. The friendly dogs and cats on the property made the experience feel even more warm and welcoming. I will definitely stay here again on my next trip to Colombia. 🌞💛"
