The grounds are beautiful and the log cabin was large enough for our group of 6. We were there when the hottest day almost reached 100 degrees and the swamp cooler was able to stand up to the heat. The pool was cool and refreshing when we were finally able to use it. The first day there, our party had to sweep all the dry leaves and dust from the pool area and clean out the pool. We found a dead mouse in the water. Response to removing mouse and shocking the water was prompt but we still weren’t able to use the pool as long as we intended. This area had obviously been overlooked in the routine cleaning. And while the inside of the house seemed clean, we found large pieces of dust, almost like sand, all over the place. We would wipe it up and and come back to find more, we resorted to covering our drinks and food. The two couches are super cute but should not be used to sleep on. The first night, two in our party resorted to sleeping on the chairs because the couches were not comfortable. We were offered the little cabin for use, which helped greatly. We missed the other review stating a frequent train going right next to the house. If you are a light sleeper, I wouldn’t recommend this house. We all slept fine through the train traffic.
