"Had an issue with the bathroom sink on check in.. baddly clogged and not draining. The gentleman at the front desk responded right away and cleared up the issue. Wasn't really his job, but he took on the task and fixed it. 10 out of 10 for this."
"Petra met us as we came up the stairs to bunkie from street level. And she was a lovely host
Great view, ideal for a single night stop over in Port Dover. Swim pretty much right from her waterfront deck, shared (with host).
Outdoor shower is heated. And is semi private. Bring your own shower soaps.
Bathroom is not in bunkie, but down a set of outdoor stairs. Toilet and sink. And also has a closet area through bathroom with small fridge, kettle, keurig, two mugs and a set of bowls. Coffee cups were provided.
Some things that could be improved: We had to make our bed which was annoying because we were hot and tired from our 65km bike ride getting here. The duvets didn't have covers.
No a/c. Windows open for breeze and ceiling fan.
No lock on bunkie.
It was comfortable and clean once settled.
If you have trouble with stairs this would not be a good option."
"An amazing property. No dinner available which was a disappointment after calling ahead the week before to confirm. Short drive to town and a great dinner. Spacious rooms. Nice attention to detail with coffee, tea, larger fridge etc. Quiet and bed was comfy. Charcuterie board and wine plus hot breakfast were excellent as well. Would recommend and would return.

"We checked in on a Sunday night when it was empty - for two nights. Not sure why they opted to put us in the room right beside the stairs, but it was incredibly noisy at all hours of the day. There is almost no sound proofing between the rooms beside you or above you. Both nights we were woken up by the people above us. We could even hear them peeing.. The second night we had guests beside us and we could hear them slamming doors as they went between rooms and screaming at their TV. The beds were also not comfy at all and the pillows were like half sized basically.
While the front desk did offer to switch rooms after I left feedback via expedia after the first night, it would have been more inconvenient than helpful at that point. I also don’t love that they deactivated both of our key cards in what felt like an attempt to make us come talk to them about the feedback we left (it wasn’t a public review). If I wanted to chat about it, I would have. I didn’t love how I felt forced to speak to them about it.
The rooms were pretty clean but the hallways and common areas were not well kept.
Overall, we stayed here because we had to. Everything else was booked. Wouldn’t stay here again."
SANDY BEACHFRONT cottage with HOT TUB and FIRESTOVE
10/10 Excellent
"Had an amazing stay here for the weekend! We felt the photos underestimated the size of the property! 4 big bedrooms and a view to die for!! Host was suberb and quick to respond. Hot tub great, no complaints. Definitely hope to come back again. Dog loved the beach too! Thanks Jessica "
"I couldn’t get the tv to go to just regular channels. There needs to be an explanation as to how it works so that people like me who are technologically challenged can use it. It also said to get in touch with front desk if any issues but there is nothing on the phone to let you do that so you have to get dressed and actually go to the front desk"
3 BR Beachfront Lake Erie/Dogs Welcome/1 HR from Hamilton & Niagara
10/10 Excellent
"We loved the old world charm and spectacular views from the cottage. Beach time with our dog and fires under the stars were highlights of this well-appointed cottage stay. A lovely neighborhood too. We will be back in a heart beat!"
