"Staff were very friendly, arrival and departure was quick and easy. Pool was great with a nice bar area that served reasonably priced drinks. The breakfast buffet was great, there was a fantastic choice and a chef to cook extra bits like eggs and pancakes. The room was clean and spacious. The only problem was a kitchenette area with a fridge. however, there was nothing to use, no cutlery, plates and the hobs had been replaced, although it looked like an induction hob when we first arrived. It meant when we returned from the supermarket the first night we couldn't do anything. Staff in general were great but we did have an issue where we were going to a wedding, i asked for an iron but this never arrived despite asking 3 times, twice at reception and a phone call which meant i had to leave with creased clothes, not ideal."

"The hotel is extremely well located and very modern, I believe only recently opened so the very helpful young lady who checked us in informed us. Roof bar is great and a lovely photo opportunity. Didn’t eat there but food looked lovely as we drank our drinks. Staff all very pleasant and the young lady who checked us in was a star. No on site parking but was directed to 2-3 car parks, as this is right by the castle was extremely differcult to street park (59 euro, 3 nights) there maybe better options but just glad to get unpacked. Few snags with the Room (104) the ironing board was on a rail but not enough space to remove it without lifting the shelf, bathroom light wouldn’t come on through the night if you’ve switched everything off by the bed (lol) , mirror to put make up on too far over wife kept hitting her head (lol) seemed to be dripping noise in bathroom from room above (no water) just a few very tiny issues that they will fix, non of these put us off what was a lovely room and setting. Will definitely book again when we return in 2027. Lovely."

"This was our 2nd stay at Casa Almareka. The welcome by Susan was as good as before with a personal meet & greet and a very extensive welcome pack. It's a very homely property with quality fixtures and fittings. We especially like the large pool, outside ceiling fan on the downstairs terrace, shaded driveway (to keep the car cool) and the 2nd terrace upstairs on the roof. The location is great for getting to Javea, Denia, the Jalon valley and other nearby towns. We had a very relaxing holiday."

"Cannot thank Patricia and Geri enough for our recent stay. Any issues we had were dealt with very quickly, and they were very minor issues anyway. We will return to Denia and I'd hope we'd be able to stay in this villa again as it had everything we needed.Once you have stayed you will feel the same. A truly lovely base to explore the area, or just laze by the pool and let the world go by."

"The hotel was in good location, parking at the hotel was easy. Staff were very good at check in. The hotel is very outdated but shower was great and room was spotless. It did exactly what we needed for 1 night in beautiful Dénia. We got back to the hotel around 11pm. It was full on party and noisy but didn’t affect us and we could t hear anything from our room."

"Villa was very private which has good views of Denia harbour. Lovely vegetation surrounding the property. A wind kicks up during the day/evening which can deposit bits of vegetation in the pool but a pool net is available for quick clean. There is a cute cat which calls to the villa on a daily basis - this was a bonus for us as we have a cat @ home. There is a shade awning available for one outside table. Car port is very useful and keeps car cool. Consum and Lidl are the local supermarkets."
